Is anyone elses' district recruiter spamming about panem october? How did the capitol chose these people? Sigh.

Yes, I got a Tweet about Panem October and I am District12.
I visited, and it's not open yet... I am a little weary of it and don't know what it is.

Also, for some reason I wish I were in a smaller district Sad

I think I have created two accounts, and I only want one! Unable to delete duplicate (District11).

Edit: panemoctober.com is now open and it appears it is a "fan made arg" for Hunger Games ? I have not signed up at this time.

i'm district 12 as well and i went to log into thecapitol.pn site to get my DIP using twitter, but the site tells me that i'm not registered and to confirm my name and email address. i do that, and hit continue, but nothing happens...

i'm pretty sure i'm already registered, otherwise i wouldn't have gotten the email about claiming my DIP.

Yeah, the site is being a little goofy.
I was able to log-in this morning and view the DIP I created last night.
(The DIP is the 'badge' right)?!

I would keep trying, and maybe clear cookies/cache and see if that helps?
I am going to go try again too, and see if I am still able to log-in.

Of course I was camping with the cub scouts when stuff started happening with the game. However, there was:

1) A bunch of children from numbered units,
2) archery,
3) a elimination competition (space derby),
4) tramping through the woods in coal country (Eastern Kentucky).

We weren't too far off from the Hunger Games after all.

(also, sorry some of the recruiters are spammy - we don't really know what to do, so some people have been more...ambitious, than others. please don't let that keep you away from the games!)

I haven't been keeping up with the twitter activity so I'm not sure what ideas have already been floating around... but the punctuation looks pretty weird to me, I'm not sure if it's because of an encoding thing or what. Sometimes there are single spaces, sometimes double spaces, sometimes no spaces between words or periods, etc.

Do we know if this is the actual original text? Maybe there's another source we can compare the latin to and see if there are any differences?

fugazid - there isn't really a twitter group, sadly. just @me and I'll RT you to the rest of us.

jojo - i'm trying to compare the latin on the capitol/the original now, but it's hard to find a plaintext version of the original. i'm working on pulling that together now.
