Right, and the first thing I thought of was 2K for that, since they made the announcement.
The first part of the clue relates to Mario Brothers, the Italians, since Donkey Kong (DK) is the simian.
As for the codec not found clue, I've been stumped for a while on that one. I've tried at least 50 different variations for redeeming the code, and so far nothing...

What do you think goes after DK ? 64 ? I don't think DKC3 (for example) would work, but I'm certainly wrong
I was thinking of DCT, because "VC-1 is an evolution of the conventional DCT-based video codec design", says wikipedia

It would likely be DKMB (Italian/Simian tables turned, meaning reversed from that order) MB stands for Mario Brothers.
I also checked just to be safe, that there was no tsilon.wmv on the site. (tried thereisnolist.ca/tsilon.wmv)

I really want the code, but I'll help out.
Its DKJR
In Donkey Kong JR, Mario takes DK hostage...

@Duke: Nope, but umdesch4 posted this on the last page:

Oh and as an aside, in the RIFF header of that .wav file there's a BSI metadata chunk (between the usual 'fmt' and 'data' chunks) with a single defined field:
INFO IART (basically "Artist/Advertiser Name") of tsilon
Obviously "no list" backwards.
Just pointing it out in case it ends up being useful later, although I'm guessing it was just another clue to reverse the audio.
Might help you guys I have been thinking about this code today, but I don't know any of my boyfriend's login info to any of his consoles to try anything I came up with, so I thought I would just help out whoever is still working on this. Hope that helped a little if any?

Strange thing is, there's 3 stars in the clues, but only 2 missing numbers in the code. Weird.

umdesch4 : it's true, I don't know which * goes in the serial...
Anyway, the 3rd clue might be related to Ragnarok. Apparently, they count the "experience" of the characters in Dex units, and 150 seems to be some kind of maximum. I'm just stumped about the "dimensions" part, but there are some references to dimensions in the fanfiction revolving around it...

I thought I should let you know that this year they are planing something for next year.
“Montréal Video World Games in the summer of 2012", Canada's answer to E3.

Wav file decoded Today there is this text:
GG7711.wav
AUDIO PARAMETER TESTING // secondary display
FREQUENCY SCAN - SIN(WII^u)12
_file.smash // HAL ENCRYPTION FRAGMENT
The file is http://thereisnolist.ca/GG7711.wav
Its spectrogram (in Sonic Visualiser) resembles a new code. I shrinked it in Paint to make it more readable.
The code may be XXBCW5SBK6THWIFB

I know that Nintendo Points are 16 digits, but I don't think you can use letters... Anyone have an idea what it might be used for ?

So.
The code is XXBCW5SBK6THWJFB. Note the "J" I misunderstood as an "I".
Only Canadian users can redeem it. I'm in Hungary, so I get an error message. If someone managed to grab it, please tell us what it contains.
