How do we know we're close to the end? I honestly don't think we are.
If series 2 is as long as series 1, then we have until Entry #52ish, and I think that will only really resolve the forgotten 7 months and set up the next series.

I hope its not the end. Marble Hornets is one of the best!
Although saying that, if it just keeps going with very little change (someone goes somewhere dark or in the woods then gets freaked out by slendy) then it will end up getting repetitive.
I was gripped at the start, going back to the house, trying to retrace steps, but really very little has happened since then.
The waking up at the hotel was good as it added new characters and more questions.
Im hoping its not the end, but do hope that there are some more twists and turns, and also the occasional unexpected slendy every so often

Nope.
I am talking about the end, not season 2.

It's for general discussion of the series, it's just called Season Two, because that's what's going on. This way did not deserve it's own thread.

They've said they're "slowly but surely" working their way towards the end. All that really tells us is that they've already got an ending planned out, which is a good thing. Telling a fully written story > dragging something out for as long as one possibly can. No idea how it could end, though. I hope to see the characters make it out alive and well, but regardless I'm excited to see where it goes.

I think it will be a open end, something mysterious happens, so they could always continue it

That would be the worst ending ever and I'm sure that they are better writers than that.

they've already said that season two will be the last season

Going to be a little agressive here, but show me some proof or it didn't happen. As I said in the twitter thread, I've seen no proof other than what seems like they will be taking a break from MH to work on their new project. I've seen no indication that they won't come back to it.

Slenderman will eventually catch up with them, and hand Alex back the wallet he dropped 5 years ago.

Don't you mean the Batman figure that he lost on his 6th birthday?

...never in my life have I come across a forum populated by so many people alergic to new threads. I don't see anything wrong with this having its own thread: it's talking about something specific and most people would be unwilling to go through the disjointed conversation of the general S2 thread to discuss the ending of the series. Jeez.

Alergic! That's the word I've been looking for! Thank you! I see nothing wrong with new threads as long as they are specific.
I'm against troll threads, but who isn't except the people who make them?
