The book does look very blue in the movie, almost grey/black. It's really hard to see the true color of the book. It could be the lighting or the prop department made have made their own book.

The physical size of the book and the cover design are really the only recognizable aspects.

(It's a low res pic but I'll delete it if the mods like.)

Now that book I have a good screen cap of!

It's one of the Voyages Extraordinaires (The Extraordinary Voyages) novels, unfortunately Q's hand is right over the title and almost all of that series had similar covers. But I can kind make a good guess that it's likely Voyages et aventures du capitaine Hatteras.

This one I'm definitely going to say is either a recreation of the prop department or purposely desaturated/recolored in post-production because all the Extraordinary Voyages books of that design I've ever seen pictures of or in person are very brightly colored normally in red with gold.

There was a blue version made. I've looked everywhere for it as I would like to get one to house the sector coaster in it that I plan on making but the only copies I can find are red and $100+ bones.

Here's a link where you can see a bunch of old Jules Verne covers:

Here's the image itself:

splitting the cost evenly among the sets, looks like each Recognizer & Light cycle set is going to run $145 plus shipping from me to you. If you live in or near LA, San Diego, Sacramento, SF, Portland, Seattle, Reno, El Paso, Phoenix, Tucson, or El Centro, there would be no additional cost as I can deliver it to you as long as you are willing to wait 4-90 days.

I'm also asking that if you can, chip in an extra $5 (per person, not per set) so that I can send our friend a 'thank you' present.

I do not know how much shipping will be as the bikes have not come in. Hoping today since the holiday is over.

Current interest:
1. RustyMuffler
2. RustyMuffler
3. MadOpal
4. JediKnight0
5. Mr.Sci-Fi

Please let me know if this list is still accurate. I think the final price is a bit more than expected, but shipping was quite expensive. I am hoping shipping from me to you wont run over $20. If I missed someone, please let me know.

UPDATE
We have the 6 Recognizers, but Disney only shipped 3 light cycles and said they are out of stock. So that leaves me with 5 recognizers at $81.75; and 2 cycles at $68.25. $149.75 for the set. Plus shipping.

I should have my car back tomorrow night (sheared the rear axle) so i can send these out as early as Wednesday, assuming all goes well with the car.

Please let me know your intentions.

I'm still in for a Recogniser & lightcycle (if possible).

I have the money ready and can send it right away if that will help with the car problems.

Sorry to hear about the problems. I just did a big order with the US disneystore for TRON stuff and they sent me some wrong items. Frustrating.

Yeah, but if you review your purchase online and complain, they will let you keep the wrong items and send you the right items free of charge.

As for the car, i got it covered. the issue is that i need the car to transport these large items to the post office. i should have it back today... unless the axle caused additional issues.

Tron: Legacy 3D Lenticular Poster

I mentioned a while back that the Disney Movie Rewards program had some theatrical posters for Tron: Legacy. Well I just logged in for the first time in a while and they have added a new Tron: Legacy poster. It is 11x17 and is 3D Lenticular. The description says it is exclusive to disney movie rewards members. I just ordered mine and thought I'd give everyone on here a heads up that there are still some left. Thanks for posting about this! Takes a little bit of the sting off of the crushed theatrical one sheet they shipped me then claimed they couldn't replace. Sad

My first one came completely crushed as well, but they were happy to replace mine. I wonder why they wouldn't replace yours.

For those of you who might be interested, I have been working with a guy named Kevin (same gent who made the Sam chip necklace) on the RPF to create a replica of the ARG Digital Frontier book for folks that wanted one but weren't one of the lucky 16 to win the final challenge. Don't worry, they have a tell making it obvious they aren't the real book so scammers can't overload eBay claiming they are one of the legit original 16.

Anyways, if you want one, here's where to go:

Enjoy.

I thought I'd let everyone know that if you go to the Disney Store (online) and search for Tron, they have all the toys heavily discounted. For instance, the die-cast ones that are normally $4.50 are now $1.99. The other items (figurines, playsets) are also similarly fire-saled.

So in case you wanted to get a collection MIB (and not heavily played with like mine- the kids got to 'em), now may be the sweet time to do it on the cheap...
