also, any ide how the rake relates to any of this

The figure that is seen in "Cops Checked, No Body" has been dubbed the Rake by fans of EMH because of its similar appearance. I do not think he has been identified as such by the crew.

Along with mentions of "Linnie" in EMH, a name also mentioned in the original Rake creepypasta, as well as The Who's "Rake Song" playing in the car in the Cops Checked, No Body video.

Right, the crew are calling it "the feral Other", according to the weird diagram Jeff posted.

it just occurred to me that Jessa is not on Jeff's diagram. Significant or oversight?

Maybe she's one of the "other hybrids"

Did anyone ever comment in depth on the possible significance of the freddy glove?

You know, when you bring in the Rake... the Freddy glove definitely seems a lot more significant. o_o

They could be pulling a Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Ark something like the dream world. It kinda fits. No people, no phone, monsters stalking them, light/darkness affecting people's behaviour. I'd say The Ark is some sort of Mindspace. Or maybe Garth Marenghi's Darkplace Razz

Seeing as how they're making a Freddy Glove reference, they could just be snagging a Silent Hill Otherworld reference; it seems like it would tie in the strange air raid siren alert whenever Slendy makes his appearance.

(Apologies if this has been mentioned before, I haven't been able to keep up. ^^; )

If the Ark is just a weird otherworld/dream world, that doesn't really make any connections to floods at all.

The Damsel once posted that not all floods are of water... anyone found anything relevant connecting to that?

And is it an ark for fleshy us-people, or an ark for all the things that go bump in the night? If the ark is not a place of safety for the crew, but from which these horrors are originating, then finding themselves there would explain why Evan, Vinnie and Jeff are in so much trouble.

(Personally, I like to think of that deleted video as the 'bad end' alternative to where they're going with this. >_>)

Well, we started with Slendy, and then suddenly got a cross-pasta delight in the inclusion of the rake. Maybe a "flood" of monsters and eldritch horrors?

It's either that or a video later in the series that was leaked (or is completely unrelated and, as most people say, just an entry to a horror film competition). I thought that they were "the Ark" at the end of Ashen Waste.

If they're using the basement as the same place, then you're totally right. But then, how did they get out?
