[CHAT] Conspiracy for Good chat and transcripts http://www.conspiracyforgood.com/chat
Direct web link: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#conspiracyforgood
This topic is primarily for the posting and discussion of chat transcripts for those who weren't present when a character was online.
Today BxC dropped in for a short chat, although as of my posting he's still there but hasn't said anything for almost two hours.

Good to see Marcus finally made himslef fo this. Unfortunately without a proper signature by Ian Briggs or some other legaly binding connection od BB to that contract I am afraid it's just a bunch of slightly burned pages or that's how it's going to look like in front of authorities...

I don't get it though, why is a corporation afraid of a legally binding contract? Aren't those things usually public, and there are also usually court records of them. Without a contract BB doesn't have a claim to Chataika whatsoever, so wouldn't BB want everyone to know what's in the contract?

no, courts do not have public records for leases
the issue for this contract is Exhibit A which marcus did not scan
everything rides on this
because it will say WHERE they could build their pipeline, and if it isn't THROUGH the villiage of chataika then that's a problem

Ok apparently it cost 10 million dollars per mile of pipeline built for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and that was over 30 years ago. So even if they have to move the pipeline by a mile to go around the village, it will cost them a considerable amount. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Alaska_Pipeline_System#Construction)
Still, they have to be approaching the point where the cost outweighs the benefit. The amount they've spent hiring the Jackals (which do not work directly for BB but are contracted out to them), buying off officials, covering up murders and shootings, flying the jackals around, feeding them, paying for lodging, propaganda posters and web sites, and lots of other expenses I can't think of at the moment, has to be approaching the 10 million dollars they could have spent on the pipeline instead.
Moral: Crime doesn't pay, it costs a LOT...and even more to cover up
