Fish like water, Josh likes fish. I was showing my wife the pictures and the photo to the left on the post it board caught her attention. I couldn't figure out what it was but she pointed out it was water, like when a fish jumps out..... Josh likes fish. Not a game advancing clue but another tie-in to his website.

Josh's blog Weird buttons Anyone else think it's a bit weird that Josh's sliders on his "photo slider" actually slide a bit when you hover over them?
Anyway here's a theory...Josh's moon calendar gives the best time for viewing rare fish...I say he's talking about the best time to play around with the photo slider on his site.
I'm speculating that during those times the swf that's playing there shows something it doesn't at other times. Maybe a picture of a fish with a popup credit on it that isn't to another real site (as the ones I see there now are) but instead is to another IG site.
Now the question is...if it's my local time that needs to be right, then I should just be able to change my PC clock to be within the proper time period for today's date. Which I am going to try right now.
Or...it's Josh's local time, and we know he's EDT. So the next time would be at 10:22 am EDT tomorrow.
Edit - adding a list of the fish I see there right now for reference:
snakehead fish
red lion fish
angler fish
fangtooth fish
coffinfish
frogfish
toadfish
viperfish
bobbit worm
giant sturgeon
oar fish
lamprey
portuguese man-of-war
wolffish
stonefish
crown-of-thorns starfish
barreleye fish
Additional edit: feel free to move this over to the hooklineandminker.com thread if you want...still catching up on what I've missed while I was away and hadn't gotten to that thread yet.

Tomorrow (today if you're on the east coast) is the 30th. . . wouldn't that make the next time 3:33am? I like you're idea though, I just might stay awake to test it out. :] (it's 1:47 here right now in NY)

Ok, I tried changing my own PC time (to both 12/30 12:45 am since I am PDT, and then to 12/30, 3:45 am) and didn't see anything different about the fish in the slider.
I will try again first chance I get when I am within the "best times to view rare fish" window for real. If someone else gets a chance to before I do (I probably won't be up long enough tonight), all the better!

Picture of the Horse Clock I took notice to something when looking at the picture of the horse clock picture. In the glass that's covering the face of the actual clock itself, there's a reflection of something. I can't make it out, my eye sight is pretty poor but I thought maybe someone might be able to doctor the photograph or just be able to see it better than I can.

its 3.38 new york time (todays good time to spot a rare fish) and all the pics on the fish slider are the same with the same links
edit: nothing new on RP site or pdp site either

Linking Threads So I have attempted to go through all the information we have to date and associated time line to try and place some sense in the evidence available:
4/2/10: Josh starts Coaelacanth Journal - Rants about ol' Moby Dick
Feb->April: Assorted attempts to track down Coalacanth. Pseudonym = "Mr. Cartwright"
15/4/10: "May not be able to post for a while"
15/4/10: Family matters (?Related to mother Evelyn)
16/4/10: FUNERAL
From card in the background:
.".If attending graveyard ceremony
Please follow with lights and flashers on ..
If you wish to contribute to the Minker Memorial Fund
More information can be found...."
15/4-2/5: Inherits "Junk"
2/5/10: Mentions "So much for selling old collectibles"
6/5/10:

Josh registers on the shroomery.org
.......................................................................................
Speculation:
1. Identified Super-8 Footage from the trailer is the "old footage" requiring verification
2. Good 'ol Capt Cooper made lots of allegations regarding experiments on children (mind control, reactivation etc.,) - Might not be relevant but we know there is a 14yo Josh - And the blogger, if born in 1963 would be 47ish now. However 1963 may just be a salient year for other reasons (Kennedy assassination/space flight/publication of "Search for a Living Fossil"); but if Josh has work computer we know he is not 14 now....

In the 2008 film, Cloverfield, one of the characters mentions a "...fish that was found off the coast of Madagascar that was thought to have been extinct for centuries" as an example of where the monster came from.
I know this doesnt help with anything but thought id post it anyhow
