Cool! Nice found, thank you!
Perhaps the best update since the weekend.

What, what is the long dark pause after the end of the trailer? Is there something?

Combing through it now.

Gonna have a full radio chatter transcript up in a few minutes.

EDIT: Maybe longer than I thought.

Definitely a boys face.

And apart from the train crossing sign and the cars license plate number there are only two other props there with text on them. Just thought I'd post them.

I'm working on a animated gif of all the strange stills. Keep you posted!

[edit] plate number is E6465K

Cool screens!
People, please post all your screens and analysis of this trailer in this thread:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29519
Let's analyse it here!
(I've simultaniously posted my screens there, but post everything you find, even if it's double) We need as much as we get.

it actually says:
AN/TTQ 1
TTQ: tryptophan tryptophylquinone

googled it a couple times, definitely army connection:

(can't access this one)

(BTW, have been lurking here since the Cloverfield early days, can't wait to help in this viral)

Regarding the box that says AN/TTQ-1:

Quote:
AN/TTQ-1. (Army Navy/Transportable Tracing eQuipment) from surplus stock. It was a portable equipment for air defense centers, used during World War II as the basic elements of the prominent mobile search command centers. It was then field-rate and robust built using particular equipment crates.

I've pasted all the interval images into one gif. It doesn't make much sense but maybe one of you can make something out of it.
There are a few distinct ones that show a camera lens in the upper right corner. I've tried merging them to one but that didn't give anything comprehensible.

[sorry wrong thread, I'll repost.]

Some of those frames look alot like microscopic life being viewed through a microscope.

Hello all. Sorry, newbie. Totatlly enthralled by this Super 8 movie. Been pouring over the trailer. Can anyone make out the images displayed in the camera lens after the kids face near the end of the trailer? Looks possibly like the train wreck but can't quite make it out.

Interesting tidbit I found based on a comment from Nolan Bautista on Ain't Cool under the Super 8 trailer:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Skies

Perhaps J.J. is finally bringing Spielberg's Night Skies movie to fruition

This sounds promising!
Reading the article I had several Eureka experiences, like

Quote:
"Buddy", who was kind and befriended the human family's autistic son.

The boys face? Autistic son?

Quote:
Carlo Rambaldi (who had previously done alien creature designs for Close Encounters)

=>
Quote:
In the television series Alias, the prophet Milo Rambaldi was named after him
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlo_Rambaldi

JJ Abrams connection!

After all, this sounds really pretty cool.
