There's not a lot of parking in the immediate area along the Embarcadero. You'd want to get there very early and hope to get a spot.

Since I am creating themes for the actual android system it requires that first and foremost your device has been "rooted".
Once this is complete you can install a handy little program called Metamorph free from the market. This allows you to use theme files created for it to change individual or entire themes.
Place my zip files onto your SD card in the AndroidThemes folder. Launch Metamorph and apply the theme.
Once the themes are complete I will be supplying these themes in flashable zip files as well. If you run into any trouble with all of this I will be happy to do my best to help. However, I am fairly new to creating themes for android (first attempt) so I am in the learning process as well.
More information on creating, modifying, or installing themes on android devices can be found here .
If it becomes requested I can do a side project of using these themes I am designing as a basis to create skins for some of the more popular home replacement applications out there. These applications do not require a "rooted" phone, and will be much easier for the casual user. However, "you get what you pay for" in other words its a trade off in quality for ease of install. These apps will not be as perfectly themed as the main project since a lot of things will not work the same.

with all this graphic goodness going on here. is there anyway i can ask you to produce a large (big enough for the side of a van) 'Encom' sign and and Encom 'E'. that way i could have them turned into magnets for our van for our SF adventure to the Encom Conference? i just need the graphics to be better quality that i have been able to find online elsewhere. thanks guys!
Also looking to do red on black.
EDIT: Scratch that, i think FSURobbie has it covered.
Alright, well if you end up still needing it I can try and work something out. Most of the images I have aren't all that big either, but I may be able to recreate a larger image.

Great! Thanks for the tip ahead of time. Even though I don't have any Android devices yet; I'll already have this in mind though. Once I get my phone in the mail sometime next week and getting my settings done the way I wanted to, then I'll install said applications and such until the full release of the themes. Thanks once again!

No problem ifmnetzwerk, and if you need help with rooting your phone (should you decide to) I can help you through it. I'd recommend doing it. Lets you run non market apps, and you have the option to install different roms.
Take a look around the following forum for lots of information on the android os, apps, and custom roms.

This is some good stuff - if you want, feel free to add these mobile themes to the DIY section on the wiki ;)

Tron Legacy:
I have just posted updated metamorph files in the main post. This update merges the status bar, launcher, and wallpapers into one morph.
You have the option to choose between stock launcher, and advanced launcher. If advanced launcher is not found it will be automatically installed for you.
There are still some minor tweaks I want to do for these files to clean things up, but I consider this release to be the first step towards a usable theme. Give her a spin, and let me know what you think.

thanks bruce. I'll work on this when time is next available. Got some school work I pushed back in order to make a little more progress with the theme. Off to bed then catchup on my statistics class. Enjoy the new update everyone.

I would like to, but I can't due to me not having an Android phone at the moment, but I will real soon though.
and i don't mean to make things harder, but to expand on an idea fro the Encom theme by somehow using the icons from the remote desktop page under the start menu (calender, media player, email, etc.) as well as the ones on the right side of the desktop itself....

I was totally thinking along this line as well. I have the stock image files for all those icons already set aside. As well as the image of the actual calendar and other programs that I want to try and incorporate. However, since icons and the such are "extra toppings on the cake" They will be put on back-burner until the main parts of the theme are finished.
in the upcoming week I want to look towards fixing a small issue with the color of fonts in the Legacy status bar, and then start work on getting the Encom theme caught up. I hope to have a usable launcher and status bar for Encom by next week.

On the bottom side of the screen, there are also the call and phone book icons, will these be able to access when changing theme to any of your developments?

ahh I'm guessing you are reffering to the Hero style launcher like the one viewed here:
I've got a G1, and though it is possible for me to get a launcher in that style I don't like it. But I am willing to look into theming a hero launcher for those who wish to have it. However, that will probably be after the main theme is completed.
