"Special sneek peak" event?? Hmmmm

I was hoping for more "organized ARG event", but maybe we'll get some of that, too.

Though..heck...I'd never complain about a Tron sneak peak!

Welll considering that FlynnLives is In-Game, the likelihood of seeing the term "ARG" in the website is..well...not likely

Me speculating about the possibility of a trailer going live soon:

What do you guys think?

I like the theory posted by djchristensen - we'll see a full scene from the movie which may have been one of the first completed, based on the name "PIT CELL" - a scene with programs battling in a 'pit'. I like the idea because it's action, it's 3D, it's IMAX, it's has potential for a ~10min high-caliber scene.

For those who are either not near a screening, or just couldn't get a ticket before they sold out, here's the Screen Scene badge (uploaded to my personal server so not leeching)

Interesting. I think the badges may also give a little more evidence into that. I wouldn't be surprised if it was even both . . . maybe the clip is shown in theaters and the trailer will be on derez? Who knows . . .

In the original Tron, the "pit cell" was the name for the cells the programs were kept in. The line from the movie just before Flynn fought Crom in the ring game:

Carrier dude: "Sir, Conscript being moved from pit cell to ring game."
Flynn (on screen): "You know - HEY - you guys sure are friendly, aren't ya?"
Sark: "Wait...let him fight one of his own kind."

Hey guys, just wanted to say "Hello." I joined up here ages ago and participated in the Metacortechs ARG and had a blast. This is the first ARG I've tried since then.

I know it's super late, but if you want to see a video I cut of the Austin wallet drop yesterday, it is right here:

Clicky!

Looking forward to all kinds of cool stuff here.

Okay so I have to ask...does this have the same feeling as the Batman one? That is, it sort of feels like its being done by the same people, hints and layouts and game and clue types feel similar.

Thanks for showing up. Yeah, it appears to be 42E is back at it again. Await mass epicness.

Gee, is that a prod?

I'm unfamiliar with 42E.

only if you want it to be.

and 42E was explained.

Encom Intl Begins a New Era

Anyone look closely at http://www.flynnlives.com/images/forums/useruploads/bradley.jpg yet?

There's a couple of typos ("anundisclosed" bottom paragraph left column and "Kevinas" bottom paragraph middle column), as well as two names (Kurt Hardington, current Encom CEO and Ken Dunneman, author of the article) that return no hits (well, no non-recursive hits) when searched with quotes on Google.

Food for thought.

Also, they renumbered the "Is Someone Messing with Me?" topic.

I've been meaning to mention this. The second post here is from a user (SkateItOut) who registered 1/4/2009 but the post is from 11/18/2008

Probably something they overlooked, but worth a mention.

Hmm, after reading the posts in http://www.flynnlives.com/discussionforums/post.aspx?id=16 about the 3D printer and the objects it's printing, I'm wondering if they're going to send those to us who are registered. It's basically the same setup as the ARG for Dark Knight where we received the boxes from "Citizens for Batman". Note at the end of the messages, it says:
