Thanks to all for solving the "About us" riddle.

Thinking of Easter Island, I have instantly to think of Rapa Nui and the LEGO conversion into Mata Nui Smile

But I think, this is irrelevant to these riddles.

Excellent work indeed on cracking that code! So now we have two sets of coordinates pointing to or around Easter Island. Something related to Bradford Rant himself, no doubt, but how? And how does it relate to the hunt for the pods?

Several of you know me from another forum, where I run a popular LEGO forum and had been keeping a secret. I now have permission to reveal. I am revealing here and thus you all are one of the first in the world to know this!

All who are intending to turn up to the pod landing sites on the day of the landing will be eligible for early testing of LEGO Universe! ( in addition to getting the T-Shirt, and having the change to get the POD.) Be sure to have your email address to give them!

We are still waiting on exact details for the testing.

So if you are not part of the KIC (Kids Inner Circle), and missed out on the alpha testing be sure to GO!! or have a parent go, or seek out a relative that lives nearby or find a friend that lives in that area go!

and NOW you can pass this along to all your friends.

Take pride that we are one of the first to know in the world.

oh and one more thing, my husband is michaelz.

Could someone grab me a code when you're there? Sadly, there probably isn't going to be a code here in the northeastern United States.

Anyone here going to Texas?

my guess is POD 4 is California, POD 6 and 7 are Windsor and German?? And POD 5 no idea!

I have no inside information on location, but those are my guesses.

The codes are linked to e-mail addresses. So you give them your address and they send you an invite with a code that would only work on an account registered to that e-mail.

Kinda new to ARG's, but isn't one of the cardinal rules that nothing is irrelevant, till it is PROVED irrelevant?

They added a legal thing on the find a pod page. http://www.bradfordrant.org/terms_conditions.html
Some interesting things on the page are that it says the event starts December 3, 2009 and conclude not later than January 15, 2010.
They must start to come more quickly, or else they won't all come!
Or maybe that page only refers to pod 3, but I'm not sure.
Also it says that the Winner agrees not to sell, trade, or otherwise transfer ownership of the Pod for a period of one year from the date of the relevant Find a Pod Event.

Well the pod has landed in the Lego store in Baybrook mall, Houston! Not the Imagination Center at all!

I was thinking they'd handle Pod 3 this way. With all the pictures, if they had handled it like Pod 2 you would have had a line of people at just the right spot.

We were hoping it would land in Dallas so we could head down and watch the fun. Oh, well. Very Happy

Good luck Houston fans!

Sort of miffed about the whole beta-key thing. I'm Danish, and with the first pod being "found" in Denmark, I doubt it'll swing back to my neck of the woods. Sad

Oh, well, I suppose I'll just have to sniff a key out in some other fashion.

I wonder how long it takes for someone to claim it, because my nearest LEGO store is 3 hours away.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking it was going to be a weekday! and planned for Texas *next* week. LOL!

Today was a cub scout event in the woods today, and thus not near technology most of the today.

I've been reading some messages that people think the Pilot message still has some more puzzles / messages in it. Has anyone taken a look at the garbled text again?

Did some basic alphabet shift tests, but didn't get much. If it's a monoalphabetic, it's not a simple shift, and with the amount of text, it's going to be bothersome to figure out the cipher key.
