That's my guess, some type of starchart or something. Man, wish I knew someone who lived in Texas...
I'm in TX, but I'm like 6+ hrs away from DFW area.
Sounds like a great excuse for a road-trip to me!

I am very close to the Carlsbad, CA Legoland. So if things head that way I am within 8 minutes of it.

One of the things I've always loved about LEGO is how they have embraced the idea of the collectir's item. No doubt these pods will be high up on the LEGO rare collectibles list.
True. Especially if they come with unique bricks - see in the video when the guys pick up the pod, they comment on the chrome brick they hadn't seen before.
Incidentally, it'd be possible for me to get to Legoland Windsor on a weekend, if it comes to it. The park's closed now for the winter, but you never know.

I know, I felt like a nerd when I caught myself drooling over the pod in that video. You never outgrow LEGO's, especially uber-rare ones...

If I'm doing this right, the actual location of the pod should be about an hour and a half away from the location of the new Legoland.

That would put it outside. Which makes sense, as a space pod couldn't land inside a store.

Anyone notice the writing next to the pod code in the video? Looked like the code from the plaque.

True. If you zoom way in, is that someone's house? It looks like the land is purposefully cleared w/ a structure in the middle, the road leading right up to it, and even what maybe a pool behind it?

SLC Checking in! Count me in on this one! LEGO's, MMO's, alternate realities... Like a 3-headed beast made up of my favorite things!
Utah typically gets ignored , but if there's anything around I'll be happy to take a road trip!
Now about those hidden numbers on the B.R.I.C.K. page...

Cool! You figured out so much. I found out something cool though! From the page they have with the maps, on the bottom one I saw that the account that the point was posted from has 3 maps. One was the one with the place in Denmark. One just had a seemingly randomly placed point on a cloud. The other was called Pod 2 - step 2. This is the second zoom in! It has 4 points that are closer together. Like it said in the video, the points are getting more exact. I bet it will keep doing that! The new coordinates are
34.350000, -107.730000
34.350000, -92.740000
28.19,-92.74
28.190000, -107.730000
You can see it here http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&gl=us&ptab=2&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=115428937171909291512.000478298d839a147a0be
The new center is 31.27,-100.235, closer to San Angelo.
Also the blacked out words, at least the first one, seems to be in hexidecimal. I can't get it to mean anything. Also the Other ones have 3s as every other number.
I knew that Avant Gardens was a LEGO Universe place. Also, someone checked and saw that the website is owned by LEGO.

Anyone else notice what Dr. Rant is holding? Looks a little like a Pod to me:
Also, looking through the source data on the page, doesn't seem to be anything hidden there.
The background image is a pretty typical radar map tracking locations of commercial aircraft, looks like Europe based on the tags on the planes but I can't figure out anything more than that.

Should there be anything at Legoland Windsor, I live about 25 minutes away. Feel free to give me a shout if there's stuff that needs investigating there

Yeah, I'm in the UK, so prob not much use, since there are people closer to Legoland Windsor than me... but still, I'm lurking. I mean, come on... LEGO ftw.
