I've got a message by Geoff. Actually, two messages.
First message was about his air craft Pegassus
(I wrote about it here already)

He answered:

Quote:
Hello Vlad
Yes that one is the same as mine, though mine is a little older. Perhaps one day you'll try one out for yourself. Yes I had nice tea, it was beans on cheese on toast...my favourite.

best

Geoff

Then I send him the link to Chink2Love pictures of the site.

His reaction:

Quote:
Oh my goodness! Your fiends actually came to the markings! That's wonderful and those are very good pictures. Though I wonder why your friends went during the night. It would
have been to have made a day of it
, had a lovely pub lunch. Is that young man with the red eyes a friend of yours? He looks like a young reprobate if you don't mind me saying so.
Still, I'm all for young people finding creative things to do!

Do you have any theories as to what the markings might mean?

best,

Geoff

Does it perhaps really mean, we should go there once more time? By day? With bluetooth switched on?

If you look at the original pictures from "Geoff", above the arc of planted trees, there's a strange disturbed area that's bluish, along with what appears to be the outline of a shape to the left (somewhat like an eye of Ra), and also over to the right of that.

Perhaps there was something stashed there for people to find, similar to what was seen in the Berlin site.

Oh well. Normally a stringer wouldn't send you another message unless something was actually missed. That seems to be the pattern, as Malak0 is all silent now that all the information that character had to deliver was delivered.

Indeed, I thought the game pace would continue to pick up, especially this week, but it's seeming to do the opposite now after a briefly interesting flurry of activity.

I wrote an answer to Geoff. I hope, it can lead us perhaps to more clarification.

Quote:
Hmm... beans on cheese on toast - that sounds delicious!

Thank you, the red beeyed young man is a friend of mine. I suppose, his odd appearance was caused due to the late hour. He's very good friend, since he sacrificed his whole friday evening for the sake of our search. Actually there was also another friend of mine, but he's got a little bit desoriented and had to give up for that day.

About signs... it's a weird story. They seems to have extraterrestrial nature.

What do you think, should we go there again? I'm thinking till now about your poor Pegasus, which was strangely broken after flying over that site. Should there be something more than just the signs?.. This question is actually important for me at this time. If there are mysteries, I cannot be pacified, till they all are solved.

How are your ferret?
And could you repair Pegasus?
Best regards,
Vlad

Got an answer. We don't need to go to Oxfordshire.
Quote:
Hello Vlad

From what you have said and looking at your photos, it seems to me you have everything you need from the site. Good luck with your research, I very much appreciate your
approach to life, you have loyal friends and you will not rest until a mystery is solved!
Good luck to you and your friends and thank you for helping to put Curbridge on the map!

best

Geoff

[meta](I'm a little bit sorry about it, I have a feeling, I've just pressed on him, so he slightly forgot his role of an unknowing man and answered as a PM...) I'm really like this character Smile[/meta]

Star Trek Arg
Phone message

Raphael posted earlier about the phone message:

The parties known as Iron and Aluminum are an extreme public threat. it is your duty to supply us with any information regarding their whereabouts. Failure to do so will result in every horror being inflicted upon you and your kind, and your planet will be desroyed. Save yourselves. contain the threat.

If Iron and Aluminum are the people in the poster, they could be Fe and Al. If so, maybe the woman in the poster (who is probably also the woman from the cobrasnake photo) be Fe? Or are we definitely sure Fe is male?

Hi All, got a reply from Geoff...

Here's what i sent him

Quote:
Hi Chap!

I've been watching a few comments some of my friends have been making about
your picture of the "crash site" and the strange markings near the A40!

Well I took your advice and popped down to the site as we are only in
Swindon and it was indeed really strange. It wasn't easy to get with
electric fences but it was well worth it!

I've got all the pictures at: -
http://www.c2l.eu/Gallery/v/Chink2love/stARG/

The Sign was written in an alien language. Really really eary at half 10 in
the middle of the night! I was so shocked to find everything still intact
like in your photos

I know what you mean about things going bad with your microlight... my GPS
stopped working when I got close and the torches cut out aswell! We also
were scared witless by the land owner who came out to see what we were up
to! According to him we were the first on the scene however he has no idea
about the markings and were as puzzled by us! He was more concerned that all
the disruption may have disturbed his foxes!

Well I just wanted to thank you again for taking the time out of your day to
publish the pics and answering everyone's e-mails J Hopefully we will find
out what all this is about one day! That's if it hasn't all been covered up
now by the government! I'm thinking about going back tomorrow to have a
second look in the day time however its about an hours drive. It does
however make he think if someone/something might go back to the site!

I hope we get the talk again sometime as I'm eager to get into microlighting
as it must be amazing going up between Oxford and Swindon with all the crop
circles that appear! It must be amazing to get a birds eye view of these
things!

Any hoot, Give you ferret a cuddle from me.. I hope he gets well soon!

Thanks Again

Fred

Aka :- C2L

and here's the reply

Hello Frederick!

Quote:
Well how wonderful that you made it to Curbridge and saw the markings for yourself! I've had a look at your pictures, so now you have proof! It looks as if you treated the whole
thing as a bit of an undercover stealth mission, much more exciting than a day trip ey? The chap who confronted you about the foxes was probably Malcom, he's very fond of the
animals and is hoping Bill Oddie and the BBC will film there.
I hope you did make it again the next day and perhaps had a nice lunch in the pub. We have managed to persuade the landlady not to go all gastro pub with nutmeg shrimps and
such, the hot pot is very good but best to steer clear of the 'meat' pie. It would have been wonderful had you met my friend Colin and put paid to his theories about the markings.
You think they look 'alien'? Well I prefer your theory to Colin's ie Ancient Druid spirits and/or Polish immigrants.

All the very best my dear fellow and yes the microlight flight between Swindon and Oxford is marvellous...especially as you get further away from Swindon and nearer to Oxford.

Good luck with your research into the markings! Please keep me informed as to your progress.

Geoff

When I was there I had both my mobile's bluetooth on however there was no transmission.

I do get the feeling that if anything was to happen it happened on the Sunday... and now the site has no clues...

He's also just e-mailed me again without me replying to his other message

Quote:
Hello Frederick

I forgot to say thanks for thinking about Ronaldo, he's much better now and back in the hutch with the others - sans runny bott!

I'm glad you found everything you needed to see at the site! Good luck piecing it all together! I have no doubt that now you and your friends will find out what it's all about!

I suppose it's a bit like our pub quiz team, we all have our specialist subjects and somehow we get the right answers, even Colin's random theories are occasionally an inspiration!

Good luck!

Geoff

it looks like the site is clear!

I'll reply to him when i get back from work... Damn work blocks Gmail... thank god for NutshellMail!

Geoff has mentioned having lunch at the pub twice now. Maybe nothing else is supposed to happen at the crash site, maybe someone needs to go to the nearby pub and see if there are any flyers or such, especially given he says he had a talk with the owner about people coming by.

I think Geoff is trying to drop us a clue here.

I just sent a playful email acknowledging his "Geoff" name which I share (nothing in-game) and he replied Smile

Quote:
Well hello Geoff!

Yes indeed we Geoff's of the world should, in fact MUST unite! I'm very glad to hear that despite your many years in Canada you have not metamorphosed into the rather nasty
'Jeff'.

I was named after Geoff Walker, the Middlesbrough footballer, who I suspect was way before your time.

I see by your handle you are known as 'the bruce' what is the origin of this nomenclature? Scottish? Australian?

best Geoff - of the Oxfordshire Greatbatch variety.

hehe

@thebruce:
Hehe, he's really cool. And thanx for your email, I waited for it somehow Smile

Even I've got an email by Siedler. It seems, PMs had some troubles with bluetooth, so thes send that random girl, who said, her friend had received coincidentally this message (that wasn't directed to him). Now she sent this message to Siedler, and he to me.

Anyway, here comes the second part of puzzle.

The Berlin bluetooth video.

Quote:
Kaleh, ich bin es leid draussen leben zu müssen. Ich schlafe in der Nähe der Stelle von der Dich diese Nachricht erreicht. Leute sprayen Graffiti und werfen hier ihre alte Möbel weg, es ist widerlich. I(ch) werde mich nicht länger verstecken. Sie sind mir doch sowieso auf der Spur. Die Zeit, die ich noch zu leben habe, kann ich genauso gut geniessen.

Translation

Quote:
Kaleh, I'm very sad about I have to live here. I'm sleeping near the place, where you will recieve this messahe. People spays graffiti and throw away their old furniture hier, it's disgusting. I won't hide me anymore. They will anyway found me soon. I'd better enjoy the time, I have to live.

Using the new footage ( http://s234.photobucket.com/albums/ee240/kosmopol/?action=view&current=416C1.flv ) we got the QR made:

http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/9461/picture37v2.jpg

It reads as "4,NOM4D5,C1U3:"

So far we tested on several readers and several images all made by different people... Still the same reading.

I posted up all the partial QR shots from both videos, so if anyone wants to have a go at re-creating the QR they can:
http://startrek.wikibruce.com/images/8/8b/QR-Partials.zip

We still don't know whether this is right or not, we are just assuming it is for now.

Translation of the text at the beginning of the Berlin 3GP

Sorry kosmopol, but your translation makes it seem like the german used in the video was worse, than it really was (compared to the flyers/audio message).

I don't wanna come across like I teacher, but here's my translation to english:

Quote:
Kaleh, i'm sick and tired of having to live outside. I'm sleeping in the vivcinity of the position, where you received this message at. People are spraying graffiti and throwing away their old furniture here, it's digusting. I won't hide anymore. They're onto me anyway. I can as well enjoy the time I have left to live.

Thanx for translation Smile
I was just on the fly, I'm working here so I hadn't really time to check out my translation.

I don't know, if it's relevant, but "a nomad clue" is anagram for "manual code"
