Found another sequence in the flv-video:

VI? 6?

[OT] Can somebody explain me plz, what is this http://www.thecobrasnake.com for one?

UPDATE. My wife noted the ambiguity of the Japanese. The second part of the message could have two meanings:

* "I know, it's too early right now (in the morning) to ask, but has anybody got a reply"?
* "I know, it's too early to ask right now (the awaited time isn't came till now), but has anybody got a reply?"

where the second possibility seems for me to be most likely.

I made it a google map, perhaps there will be another places.
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=109759884955634556248.0004679b2bbbea49b3580
Anybody in Paris?

And here a streetview of this crossing
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=109759884955634556248.0004679b2bbbea49b3580&ll=48.853019,2.29714&spn=0,359.990344&z=17&layer=c&cbll=48.853038,2.297086&panoid=8RLlrJDiJUycIzDR6ShC0w&cbp=12,120.98256225732479,,0,-18.699999999999992

From meeting points at this crossing is probably Cafe Le Presles the best.

Looking at this site (fully OOG) I remind somehow how we found Kaitei no Mitsu Wink

UPDATE. Are they working at the webpage right now? As I refreshed it, all the "#" signs were gone...

I wish I was in Paris, but sadly, I'm not. And I can't afford a ticket for the Eurostar to nip across and check if there's anything there, either. Sorry. Sad

*prays for a place in the UK*

Till now we have too little informations, whether this place is the place of the real meeting or just of an IG-meeting. And we don't really know the date, when there should be happen something. I hope, it will something happen Smile

I analyzed this cross one more time [here a Street View Link for reference], there is also

* Cafe Le Presles.
* bank Barclays
* AUX AMATEURS DE LIVRES International

I sure hope this comes across the pond and hits the east coast here in the States. I've been dying for a Trek ARG, I would hate to miss out...

Since the two parties were in Paris and Hollywood, I'd say you've got more chance of an American link than I have of a British one!

The Cobrasnake (aka Mark Hunter) is a well known Los Angeles photographer, who mainly covers the underground party scene. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cobrasnake

I guess tomorrow is the big day... I wonder what's next...

I saw one of these yesterday where the guy was running naked and dropped an electonic gizmo. unless it was a bad translation. Or the medication, no sign of it now

Cool! Thank you for links!
I see we were right with Cafe Le Presles and Bank Barclays!

Quote:
Here is a translation from Eric Saussine of Unification France:

I just put an announcement on Vivastreet for Appareil: rue-de-la-federation-et-rue-de-presles It looks like a PALM with a large digital screen - bigger than a phone but not really a laptop. I didn’t succeed in making it work but I will try again. All I get from it is a rather annoying buzz. I was sitting at the café at the intersection of rue de la Fédération and rue de Presles when a guy ran through. He fell by hitting the chairs and started shouted loudly at every people without reason who tried to help him. He was running so face I coudn’t see his face. Once on his feet, he ran towards the bank on the other side of the street. When the waityer came back to put the chairs in place I saw the funny machine. If you’re the one who lost it and if you’re no serial killer and if you’re not crazy, you can contact me by email. I think such an item deserves a reward!

It's worth noting that JJ and his crew were in Paris giving a Trek press conference on April 14th.

Then on the 14th/15th an intersection in Paris was posted to the site we're watching. Then on the 15th someone from Paris started posting to French websites about a crazy guy he encountered at that intersection, who dropped an unknown device and ran off.

Sounds like someone in Paris needs to get in touch with this guy. I won't post his e-mail here, because I don't know if he is in game or not, but you can find it (along with other status updates) over at TrekMovie.com. The folks there have been trying to contact him without much luck Confused

Also of note... through some whois searching by the folks over there, the url http://www.2387-42.com was found. It corresponds to our discovered IP address. And it appears to be a stardate; specifically, the date in which the movie prequel comics take place.

OK, kosmopol is gonna be offensive now.

I wrote to the Malak0 guy following email:

Quote:
Hi there again,

sorry for bothering you again. I hope you're OK and the strange device hasn't killed you (just a joke Smile)

Anyway, I wanted to ask how are you. And perhaps I know somebody, whom belong this gadget. Perhaps you can get reward.
And perhaps we can help you to switch the device on .

Anyways, take care
and best greetings
Vlad

Well, just a try, but who knows? Perhaps the word "reward" will interest him? Wink

UPDATES.
If it wasn't posted here,
a personal weblog of Malak0:

http://www.lepost.fr/perso/malak0/

A flickr with the same username
http://www.flickr.com/photos/13767372@N08/
Don't really know, whether it's him or another malak0. Perhaps not, since this youtube user Malak0 is completely OOG.

UPDATE2.

Another idea, found over at http://trekmovie.com/2009/04/15/new-clues-in-star-trek-viral-arg/. At Malak0's blog there is a header

Quote:
S'il te plaît... dessine-moi un mouton.

which does mean

"Please, draw me a sheep", which is citation from Le Petite Prince by Sain-Exupery. A hint? Shall we send him hand drawn sheeps?

UPDATE3.

OK, kosmopol is going crazy. (He does it always while of ARG update lacks)

I drew a sheep actually. And sent him (I'm a big spammer today)

Don't know, whether it will help us, but it helps me. Mentally Smile
