It's entirely possible that I'm off by a second or so on the video times. Has anyone taken a look to see if they agree with my times? You should always distrust other people's solves. Wink

@dante

Although it's German, it's very hard to read. But I'm sure, that's not "Thomas" and "event". It also seems that the animalthing waves goodbye. There's a little line over it.

I also tried to call the number. But it does not exist in Germany.

I checked the lyrics from the songs with the times, but I could't find anything interesting. The only thing maybe is, that at "Charlotte sometimes" is no text at the pictur time.

I'm going back over the video times. I was for sure wrong on Charlotte Sometimes. The scene in Knowing.jpg is at 4:11, not 4:12. I'll update this post with the rest when I'm done.

Okay - my second look nets this:

Charlotte Sometimes: 4:11
Pictures of You: 6:37
Deep Green Sea: 6:46

That gives us:

04116376461

Backwards, it could be a phone number: 1-646-736-1140

That's a real number, and it's an answering machine for an Isabel.

"Isabell" is the wife in Therapy.

I freaked out and hung up.

Note that I am NOT sure this is actually right or not, just that it was an intriguing coincidence that the numbers added up to a phone number that actually worked and had a message from someone whose character name was in the book. I'll call back and leave a proper message in a bit.

ETA: Left a message saying I was looking for Ivan Krotzler and gave my phone number. Forgot to leave my name though. Embarassed

Hello Guys,
do a little work for you. I mirrored the painting.
There is not much visible, only a few words and a terrible handwriting *rofl*
Take a look.

Penny's back on Facebook

Penny posted a Facebook update:

Thanks a lot for your support, while I have been to the hospital. Jimmy told me about your lovely emails and your wishes for me. I feel much better now and I want to get back to normality as soon as possible. Of course, those memories of the dog are still in my head and I hope they will fade away soon.

I can't answer all your emails today, but I promise to get back to them within the next two days. The doctor told me to make small steps for the next days. So, what did I miss in the last days?

Penny

I'm still catching up from where i left off but has it already been discussed about any importance to the names and dates:
85/09/30/Pressmond 3070010105
63/08/18/Abrams 0407200930
59/11/03/Zuckerman 0100713009
71/10/13/Glass 1540131071
These were the patients with accessible audio.

Also as many other people have probably found in Ivan's to do list;
Abstract for the Conference Finish
HMM-reviewed sources
Call Police Department "threatening"
Dog care
Meeting with Verbitzky on Wednesday at 20:00 clock in Boca di Beppo

p.s. if this is new i'll be very happy Smile

The only thing not in the guide is the solve for knowing.jpg/possible telephone number which may or may not be in-game. We still don't have confirmation on that. Otherwise the guide's pretty complete. What do you think is missing?

Welcome E.Y.E. Spy. In case you missed it, there's a page two of the excellent guide: http://www.wonderweasels.org/charlotte/guide2.html

HMM = Hidden Markov Model. If you log into ivankrotzler.com/data and look at the links under Research, there's more information (also on Wikipedia). It's fairly esoteric stuff. Shocked

New to the game

Hi everyone,

I'm a noob and just joining in the game if i may. I wanted to say hello and share what I might have found.

I read through the guide and have read a few threads, so I apologize if what I'm adding is not new, I just must have missed it.

I looked up the quote on Krotzler's webpage. The quote is from a fairly famous author Anne Wilson Schaef (also shows up as Anna in some places). I haven't found much that would constitute a lead with this information, and in fact am not even sure it's relevant, but she does write about psychoanalisis so there may be something there. Also typing tin the quote brings up two photos on flickr, but again not sure that it's relevant.

cheers

Welcome! that's interesting about the quote. Aside from the /data/ files we haven't found anything else on ivan's site...
