SPEC regarding VIZ:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Since the psychiatrist in "The Therapy" is named Viktor Larenz, I would speculate that VIZ could be him.

Varin, does the cassette writing say "1/2"? That's kinda what it looks like.

Could be uppercase lambda / lowercase lambda.

Laughing j/k

Looking increasingly like I was wrong and it's 21A or 2/A or Z/A, etc.

Note to self: typing>handwriting for clarity.

Returned from Visit #2 to "the address".

Bad News: it's just an apartment building, with apartments numbering 1-8. No 21A or anything close :p

Good News: I got to meet PinkCloud, Mr. PinkCloud, and Baby PinkCloud! Super nice and awesome, looking forward to more ARGing with you guys!

I'm going to chime in now and declare the tapes to be label "2/1" and "1/2" -- I've encountered that form of handwritten numeral 1 before with a French game. It really does vary from being just an exaggerated top serif to a sloping upstroke before coming back down, to something akin to an inverted V. The first cassette was perhaps ambiguous, but the second tape confirms it for me. That symbol that looks like a caret ^ is just a handwritten numeral 1, on both tapes.

I'm looking for images now, but wikipedia isn't giving me visuals

"People in some parts of Europe extend this serif nearly the whole distance to the baseline."

SPEC: Could be the dates the conversations were recorded. 1st Feb and 2nd Jan, respectively (or vice versa depending on m/d - d/m notation).

I'm inclined to agree with Catherwood - that makes a lot of sense if the game is of European origin (San Diego notwithstanding!). It's also likely that the dd/mm date notation format would be used, if these are session dates - that's the most common form in Europe, isn't it?

ok so if we go w/the idea of dated tapes, then i guess we're waiting for 3/1
or 1/3 or 3/? - maybe the next tape they send will put something together for us or point us toward something (hope tape 3 wasn't sent to someone attending sxsw) Wink

I'm betting the next one shows up tomorrow. It looks like they sent Varin's out as soon as I picked mine up. So they sent the next one out when she picked hers up? Maybe?

Chapter One Excerpt

For anyone interested, this link provides an excerpt from the book. It looks like a good read.

*ETA* The publisher of the book is St. Martin's Press, I suppose P. Martin on the return address could be alluding to them.

Here on the other coast we're having another day of rain to be followed by a day of rain! I get into chat using the java applet:
http://www.chat-solutions.org/chat/ You type /#charlotte to get into the room and then change your name from guest to your SN with /nick PinkCloud.
