According to their headstone, today would have been the Robert's 65th wedding anniversary. I wonder if birth/death dates are significant?

I am just trying to find out how she got this pic.

Here is the chat i had with Catherine
Quote:
I have something to show you...
Catherine Aaron
But I need to be able to email it and I don't know your email address. It definitely concerns you.
Me
My email is tallerbirdSPLAT hotmail.com
i hope everything is ok
Catherine Aaron
I just sent it to you...
Me
How did you get this picture?
Catherine Aaron
Sorry, in my rush I didn't get to tell you...I'm trying to contact everyone and let them know how sorry I am.
I got this from someone that won't give me their name. They have asked that I keep their email address anonymous for the time being for their own safety.
However, I have set up something with my attorney. On top of distributing the envelope from my dad if something happens, he will release the email address to all of you.
Me
Ok. do you think this person can be trusted? Do you think they were warning you or threatening you?
Catherine Aaron
They said that they were sending me this at risk of their own safety, so I am assuming they are doing it to help. Doesn't make sense for it to be anything else, right?
Me
That would make sense. But be careful until you know they can be trusted.
Also, the picture gives a nickname for Joseph as Jo. Had a quick search on facebook but found nothing.

Argh! I'm not sure I like being on someone's hitlist!
I wonder what the different 'status' letters mean? O* is Catherine and Bruce (sorry mate!) T is Jacob (which is probably short for 'terminated'?) M i think is Joseph and someone else further down the list in Oklahoma, and the rest of us are O.
M for missing? O for... obvious? ostrich? xD

Yeah i thought T was for terminated. I don't see an M, i thought it was U (possibly for unknown). I can't read the bottom of the list but i thought the second from the bottom could say unknown as the location but it is difficult to tell.
Maybe O stands for observation, they are just watching us at the moment.
O* could mean that they are being watched more closely than the rest. Geoff, have you seen any black cars following you
Anyway, back the the pics.
The T.G.I.F comment may be a hint. It could be a hint to look at the initials on the graves, no luck so far. Or it could be a hint about days. I checked what day of the week they died but didn't see a pattern.
I think the comment about the games she used to play is more likely to be a hint to solving this but she has not told me anything about the games yet.

Having had a closer look at the picture, I'm inclined to agree. U = Unknown. Maybe Jo isn't in Chicago anymore then?
I thought it interesting that in her list of the names on the gravestones, she doesn't actually list everyone. Maybe only some of the people are relevant?

I thought at first that she had only listed the people actually buried there (there were some wives/husbands names on there to who were probably not relevant) but then i noticed she had Missed off Ann Timmis. I wonder why.

XD I like that. XD
I've been thinking about cats again. We have nine cat pictures, seven death memorial pictures. Apparently, cats are thought to have nine lives in the UK (and I think the US) but in the rest of Europe they are thought to have seven. I don't know if that's significant at all.
In general, cats are often associated with life. Because they "always land on their feet", have nine lives, and even in Ancient Egypt they were associated with various Gods. Gravestones, conversely, are obviously usually associated with death.
Again, I might be seeing connections where there are none but... yeah.

I added Catherine as a friend on facebook when I started reading this thread yesterday. Earlier this evening, I was on facebook, and Catherine sent me an instant message. The conversation is as follows:
Quote:
2:33pmCatherine:
Hi Mr. Adams, thank you so much for trying to help me. I can tell you that it has been extremely frustrating.
2:34pmMaven:
I can imagine
I'm sorry for your loss
2:35pmCatherine:
Thank you, that means alot to me.
2:35pmMaven:
Let me ask you, do you know what kind of car it was that was constantly driving by?
2:40pmCatherine
Hmm...I was looking from my upstairs window. It was just a black car. Maybe a Ford Crown Victoria ? Kinda looked like a cop car, only black and no lights.
2:44pmMaven
are those tap dancing shoes you're wearing in one of your pictures?
2:45pmCatherine
haha, yes, they sure are
2:45pmMaven
how long have you danced?
2:45pmCatherine
i started in fourth grade...so i guess that makes it...eight years? almost nine now I suppose.
2:46pmMaven
sounds fun
Your dad talks about this organization alot
did he ever mention a group called Stratum? [got the idea for that name from thebruce]
2:46pmCatherine
Stratum? What is that?
And no he never mentioned it. Where did you get that name
2:49pmMaven
In the note that you wrote expressing concern about the names on the tomb stone, you happened to arrange the names in a way so that the first letter of of each last name spelled out "Stratum"
looking at these pictures of the tomb stones, it's the first meaningful word that I've seen
2:49pmCatherine
Really? I just listed them in the order they appeared on the memory card. Do you think thats significant? Dad always was big about anagrams.
Stratum...its a strange word. What does it even mean?
2:50pmMaven
it has a few different meanings
wikipedia has a lot more info about it than I could ever give
[this is where my internet connection started to get messy, and I don't think this final message got sent]:
2:53pmMaven
Sending:
but a basic overview is that it's 1) a layer of rock or soil
2:55pmMaven
2) it measures certain things in timekeeping like the quality of a clock in its ability to synchronize
The dad likes anagrams and the arrangement that gives us Stratum is the same order that images exist on Catherine's memory stick. A possible avenue for further investigation?
So, it also looks like there's a list. The image isn't good, but it looks to me like my name's on there for Maven Adams of St. Louis at the bottom. (note: I'm guessing the list is facebook related because this is my first post to the forum on this. Does anyone have any info to back that up/knock it down?)

I am starting to think that stratum is the right answer. Maybe there was supposed to be a clue with the cat pictures as the how to order the names to come up with stratum. Looks like we missed the clue though.
I was doing a google image search using "(surname) grave" and for most of the surnames i used the picture that was used was on the first page. That leads me to think that they were chosen because of the surnames, therefore the surnames are the important bit. That's why i think stratum is a likely answer.
Not sure where that gets us if it is correct though.
