Finally my eye got added on the site. It's the red one with the creepy image in the iris.

Mine made it as well. FYI, they keep whatever the file name is that you give it when they add it, so if you don't want to be identified at all, make sure it's a generic name.
And I was really tempted to put up a pic of Sauron, but I'm still not quite that level of dork yet.

The guy on the phone said September 9th , not August? September 9th would be 51 days away., But I couldn't find anything related that happened on that date in history.

Duh... You're right. JavaScript months are zero-based (what brilliant programming mind thought up of *that* one?!?).

Probably the same one that came up with the rest of JavaScript.

i just emailed a picture of Lelouch Lamperouge's Geass eye to the site. If anyone is a fan of anime, you'd know who that is.

So uh, this stripper totally bogarted the end of Steve Peters' presentation by dancing into the main conference room and flexing his henna'd muscles for a while.
He had some words written up near his left shoulder, so I did a bit of Googling and found something strange at this Smithsonian webpage:

Where you can submit yours or your lover's eye, and there is a telephone number to call. I had a hard time understanding the first part of the call, but there is an option to recite a bit of Shakespeare at the end - specifically, the Three Witches' speech from the Scottish play. I did not leave a message, as I felt shy, and still a little freaked out by the stripper, but I am sure someone else will be more brave than I.
There is also a countdown.
Hi, where can I see Peter's presentation? I also went to the website http://americanart.si.edu/ and didn't find the upside-down text. Please help.
Thank you.

Well, I finally submitted my dog's eye (not my lover, but certainly one of my loves) and recorded the incantation. I couldn't understand any of the message before the part where he asks you to record the incantation. I'm going to try calling again when I'm in a quiet place.

I think the guy on the phone said September 8th not 9th.

I would have gotten it sooner, but she wouldn't stop kicking and screaming...
*EDIT*
Holy crap, they posted it *already*! Either they got some guy sitting at the terminal doing live updates or this is an automated process.
