Re: New Page of the Diary

There's a new page of the diary up on the Flickr.

Another reference to an historical UFO incident - this time to the "Kecksburg UFO incident" of 1965. Also known as PA's Roswell.

Read all about it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kecksburg_UFO_incident

Also, Apparently Tettleson was visited by some Men in Black. Read the Wikipedia article - apparently, the primary civilian investigator of this particular crash ALSO was visited by some men in black and immediately clammed up. He died 5 years later.

Also a newpage at http://www.mindspring.com/~smithy111110/communication.htm

This transcript is from the Greater London Radio broadcast of January 8, 1971 during which a caller claimed to be speaking from outer space.

Jonah Falcon

Interesting how this transcript isn't garbled at all. I wonder if JJ really sent it.

Well now, this is disconcerting. Viewing the source of the transcript:

Shifty Eyes
TOS violation, or gamejack?

EDIT: I googled the name and, um, I find it hard to believe this is an IG character. May be NSFW actually. Confused

Hey, don't look at me. I didn't write anything. Maybe the next document will say "Brad Pitt" or something. Cool

Then how did your name get in the source code?

Shifty Eyes

Smithy is now having urges to open the Necronomicon. Shocked Silly

A new post from him finally snapped some of those nonsensical words from JJ together for me:

Quote:
So... tempted to open the Necronomicon...
It's like a... consensual ferret.
(description underneath: Or is it a... nonsecular fester?)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Anagrams of consensual ferret & nonsecular fester (and freelancer snouts, for that matter) -> SOUL TRANSFERENCE Shocked Silly

DON'T DO IT, SMITHYYYYYY!!!

New file at JJ's sanctuary is a video clip, titled warning.htm, from (I think) Evil Dead, showing Bruce Campbell opening the Necronomicon.

Smithy's latest post is titled Pokersmash and appears to be a screenshot from a video poker game...???

OK, so things are getting a little weirder, with the Jonah Falcon thing, and the pokermash image (which I can't see on smithy's Flickr account - has it been removed?)

I'd hope Smithy has a little more sense than curiosity, although I can imagine it's certainly difficult. I'd go with petunia on this one though - NOOOOOOOOO...

And nice one with the "soul transference" thing - that, I think, explains all the videos that JJ has been leaving us. I love it when a plan comes together.

Eep, feels like something big is about to happen...

Aww? I had hopes that "Part 2" would lead straight on, but maybe patience is handier in this situation... I like to think that one day JSS will grace our inboxes again. (Who knows, with the government on his trail, it might be sooner rather than later...)

If it *is* the end, then many thanks to Jon Jones Smithy for a great little jaunt Very Happy

No kidding!! Major KUDOS to the PM, this was VERY well done IMHO. Rock On

Hell, just the fact that it was completed at all makes it a standout among the recent N&R offerings. But still, there were a lot of things to like about this one. The fact that just about everything was there on only 2 websites made it easy to review the story or for latecomers to catch up (I tried to talk a few people into it recently - no takers, but that's probably for the best since it was almost over anyway). We could email the character(s) and get responses back, and sometimes it turned out to be important to the story but not so much that it became an all-email game (boring). And pictures! And good puzzles.

In short... good times. Geek

What's more, there was (IIRC) no evidence of the curtain-lifting and/or line-crossing that has plagued almost every other game in here lately. (Speaking of... I should take this opportunity to apologize to JonahFalcon. I still don't know why your name showed up as the author on that JJ update, but the last two were apparently authored by Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer, respectively, so... whatever. Dunno )

Presumably the PM just needs time to take a much-deserved holiday and prepare for Chapter 2. Crowley is probably still out there, after all, and may very well have picked up a new body... I still need to get all the body-hopping straight in my head... I wonder if we'll find out what's in Antarctica (eep), or if the remaining volcanoes in South America will figure in at all. And did Smithy really kill that guy Petey?

That pokersmash thing, though... that just seems totally random. Maybe we should take a closer look at it?

Oh yeah... Smithy's first & middle names, James Stewart... Jimmy Stewart. Very Happy Yknow, I may actually decide to watch "It's A Wonderful Life" this year. Or maybe Vertigo.
