Some of the graphics in the clinic section are hilarious (and somewhat suspect).
Any ideas what's up with the directions page ?
Reminds me of reflected Gray Code like you'd see on a rotary encoder wheel.
Maybe something to do with the BHRC signals/directions?
In a resistor color codes schema(tying back to the radio aspect), the numbers would be:
Code:
0
-
9
-
9
-
9
4|0|6|0 2|2|4|9
4
-
5
-
2
-
6
with a 5 for the background
EDIT: Changed the "3's" to "4's".

Image I pulled the tree out and increased the brightness and contrast and got this
->
That is definitely text. I'm still trying to get a clear enough image to be able to read it though.
I also pulled the 43_photo.gif apart and found no obvious image clues.. It might need to be destegged ( I have no idea what the key could be though).

[Puzzle?] Circular direction.jpg Looking at the source code on view-source:http://sacredhatcasino.com/html/direction.jpg
there's this:
Code:
id="W5M0MpCehiHzreSzNTczkc9d"?>
That looks sort of cryptic, doesn't it?
There's also a "bar code" on the bottom of the casino page; http://sacredhatcasino.com/html/bar_code.gif , that uses white, yellow, red, blue and black, in that order. There's no green, though. So, maybe the green stripe on the circle is a space or some other marker.

[Spec] Some background The Toomans seem to be the leaders of the branch of the Cheyenne that have taken converted Sacred Hat Casino to a community center. They seem to be keepers of the sacred arrows. Cheyenne mythology says that Sweet Medicine, their prophet, received the arrows from the Creator, Maheo. There are two arrows for war and two for hunting. There is also a sacred hat. These items, along with some others, are part of a shrine, equivalent to the Cheyenne Ark of the Covenant. The Toomans mention that they have moved them to a secret hiding spot.
The Federal Government seems nonexistent. The Toomans group seems to be trying to re-estbalish tribal rule at least until contact is made with the Feds. If the Feds are gone for good, then we can bet that we're looking at what is about to become a large conflict with Native Americans being a large faction fighting for territorial control. That'd be a pipe dream given our demographics, but remember that most of the American population lived in cities that just got nuked.

Planning a strike? Would this indicate that those involved with the casino are actually organizing or planning an attach. Most of the site focuses on building community but this particular forum post confuses the heck out of me

That graphic represents the best guess at what the fallout patterns would have been in a nuclear "full strike" by the Soviet Union during the cold war.

[UPDATE] Tipi mouse over image change The tipi now has a mouse over image http://sacredhatcasino.com/html/tipi_over.png
(see attached).
I suppose it's to draw our attention to the Mayan glyphs. According to http://www.ancientscripts.com/maya.html , the smaller top row is tz'ib' meaning "writing", and the highlighted one is uut-om, "it will happen".
eta: According to this Mayan to English dictionary, tz'ib' means paint, painting, write, writing. uut-om isn't in that dictionary as one word. Separately, ut means occur, happen, face, food; and om means foam. I'm thinking that the gylph together is what counts.

From what I can tell, the bottom glyph starts with u-to-ma or utom, which means "it will pass".

That colorful circle of direction http://sacredhatcasino.com/html/direction.jpg
Many Native American tribes used color to denote direction. Searching the web, one finds that there is no single set of colors that consistently symbolizes direction.
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardinal_direction
Quote:
Americas
In Mesoamerica and North America, many traditional indigenous beliefs include four cardinal directions and a center. Each direction was associated with a color, which varied between groups but which generally corresponded to the hues of corn (green, black, red, white, and yellow). There seems to be no “preferred” way of assigning these colors; as shown in the table, great variety in color symbolism occurs even among cultures that are close neighbors geographically.
Attached is the table from that page.
Maybe we have to identify which culture used the colors/directions in each of the four rings?
From that wiki page, the outer ring is Navajo, and the inner ring is Mayan.
Can we find which tribe used:
(Second ring)
North =White
East = Yellow
South = Red
West = Black
(Third ring)
North = White
East = Red
South = Green
West = Blue
?

How does she DO that?
Nice find, drizjr!
Per this page , the 2nd ring could be Cree or (if the green is discounted) Black Elk.
Or, possibly, Chippewa.

hi all. back from vacation and just checking in all my games i've been following. lost touch a ways back with Tom Tooman here (radio waves and trianglulation lol) but really happy to see more meaty offerings here.
I enjoyed reading the sacred hat casino website before i left for disney. Havent gotten much of a chance to think about it though but i did think its really well put together. (as have been all the phases of this particular game).
Hopefully I'll find more to contribute in this phase.

ps.. yes, i want to be like drizjr when i grow up
