 		reason why halo looks like earth and more
theory
im thinking that after the forerunners found earth/us,that they realized that their time was up. so with the time left they built the ark on earth for whatever reason. then they changed halo's environment to match earth's to mabey get the humans to remember their purpose.didn't it seem weird that john could just 'activate the energy bridge?' and that the spartans could just
drive the wraiths? and their purpose being to activate halo in an outbreak,and RECLAIM all forerunner tech.the fact that the forerunners world looks like ours is very slim,but they where surprised by everything on earth when they found it so thats unlikely.

and the reason that they didn't make it to the shieldworld was that,like i said they were too weak to fight of the flood but did something genticaly to the humans giving them knowledge on how to use the tech so that they may kill the flood. think of it as your grandpa giving you his knife. the forerunner's passed down there knowledge in hopes of the humans destroying the flood.[/spoiler]

If I remember correctly, one of the Halo instruction manuals state that the reason they could do this is because the A.I. constructs they can carry in their suits (Like Cortana, for example) help them integrate with the alien controls.

Or something. I'm seriously too lazy to go digging through my big drawer of manuals just to correct a forum post.

I would, if I had enough money to buy one.

Besides, one would think the info in the instructions manuals are more official then the books, since Bungie wrote 'em.

bungie gives the book writer the 'halo bible' so it can't get more official than that.also all the books are good and you should buy them.
