No more server rewards?

I haven't heard of anyone getting a reward package for unlocking a server beyond the first two (the one with the SOTA flyer and the one with the signed novel). It's been a month since Server 3 opened. Do you think Microsoft isn't sending out any more swag?

To be clear, the rewards aren't the only reason I participated. Seeing some of the backstory revealed for the first time was really interesting for me. Still, it would kind of suck trying so hard for weeks on end to unlock a server and finally succeeding in the end (Server 05) only to receive nothing for it. I'd really like something to remember this time by, and I think that Microsoft should reward every participant equally.

Any thoughts?

I have a thread up in ABO for the Server 3 rewards. Nobody has reported any Server 3 packages, or Servers 4 or 5, thus far. I used to call DHL once every few days to see if my package existed yet, but I got sick of it. Now, I'm just going to do other things and keep in the back of my mind the hope that I'll open my front door one day and my package will be there waiting.

I think my idea is right that each of the 3 packages will be a different edition of Halo 3. That's why it's taking this long.

If so, they'd better hurry up... I've already got my copy of Legendary pre-ordered and payed for...

No. Just no.

They would never spend that much money on you guys. I got a 6 dollar book.

I'd have to agree. Even with the way they're running this show, I don't think they'd do something THAT stupid.

Yes expecting a copy of the game is unrealistic, with mircosoft's desire to be "cost effective" in this arg spending on the whole 3000 dollars for tshirts etc is much easier vs 30000 (the $60 basic edition).

But Microsoft can afford to give away hundreds possible thousands of copies of Vista and Office. Mine are sat on the desk staring at me Wink, 500 copies is a drop in the ocean compared to how many are expected to be sold.

Just throwing out some random idea. Trying to keep your Halo 3 posts not top post because this is the Iris forum. Goto HBO to post that stuff.

This is different for 2 reasons:
1. Halo isn't strictly a microsoft only property. Bungie gets a cut of the profits so it would be much more expensive for ms to give away copies of Halo3
2. At least for the free copies of office, they never gave any physical disks, just activation keys for the software and people had to go download the actual files. The disks and the case and the manuals all cost money, and ms isn't going to start letting people download and burn copies of xbox360 games.

I'm not going to pretend to know what Microsoft is planning to send out for servers 3-5, but I'll be pretty angry if I don't at least get a T-shirt. I mean, it was sort of a pain to drag my butt out to a (not so safe seeming) part of Seattle, and to not get a reward would make this ARG more sucktacular than it already is. I copy of Halo would be nice, but I'm not gonna bet on it. However, I also wouldn't sneeze at a Halo 3 xbox, or a zune either...

I started a thread on Bungie Halo 3 forum asking for some confirmation about the server awards. I know they're not directly responsible, but they can get answers.

Help keep it bumped.
