Sorry, it's what I meant in the first place. Haha, I accidentally included the tags.

New song found.

A spiral member (grinwithoutacat) found a new USB in Barcelona with a new song.

Me, I'm Not.

I try my best.

Song here

Somebody went and put it through a spectrograph right away. (thanks!)
this is what came out.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's a phone number

Edit: there are two files in the rar.
one is 2432.mp3
the other, "Me, I'm not.mp3".
I think 2432 is where the spectrograph came from.

Yeah, that's how they determined the link for the wiretap site. That audio track was down right frightening.

inthistwilight.com seems to be involved. The text on the bottom right of the picture is the same as that in yearzero.nin.com. I'll keep checking, but it seems to be legit.

The picture that is displayed on your website is very pretty. When might the rest of your site be completed?

I doubt it. All of the other official pages have generally the same whois information. Both inthistwilight.com and opalescenthaze.com are different.

I'm starting to believe so too. But I received the same email as the above one, so I wonder.

Agreed. Very haunting. Any idea where we can DL an mp3 of the call itself? I could faintly hear the now-familiar morse code at the end, but not well enough to decode.

Like I mentioned earlier, if you assume 24.10.4 indicates the space in "God Given" instead of the 2nd G, you not only have a slightly different set of letters, but also a clue that the "solution" will only have 2 words. Easily the most interesting anagram from those possibilities (URGOD GIVEANOIN) is GOVERNING AUDIO.

Fitting, methinks.

BTW: A couple more 24.x.x codes I haven't seen mentioned here...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the 2432.mp3 filename in all likelihood refers to 24.3.2 (edit: Oh yeah... "24.3.2" also appears in the ID3 tag for the mp3.)

To my best efforts, the morse code heard at the end of the latest phone message, while more noisy than those in the past, can be translated to 24.3.1 with reasonable certainty

I'm happy to say I figured out that last part there allll by mah-self. =)

Not that this wasn't already obvious...
42 is almost certainly involved

A check of the whois database for the sites related to the game show that they are hosted by rackspace.com... who 42 entertainment has used in the past.

Now, I would put my money on this being confirmation of this being a 42 project.

So when is this ARG getting it's own full blown section?? The other forums don't nearly have the kind of cohesive knowledge gathering that the unfiction players provide. We need to step this up and get this together!

woot! my first "real" solve!

ok took the BG image (police05.jpg) from the wiretap sight, and puzzled it together:
got:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
this image

which reads:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
lot like Dayton, Ohio, ***garble*

***garble***st be tons of human bone meal in the ground

it is a quote from Kurt Vonnegut, who was a prisoner of war in Dresden during the Allied attack and tackled the controversial event in his book Slaughterhouse-Five, said of postwar Dresden, "It looked a lot like Dayton, Ohio, more open spaces than Dayton has. There must be tons of human bone meal in the ground."

given the hobbit clue, I think we know where the next drop is going to be.. except, there is no show in Dresden
