Box Titles - Hidden Messages
Scrambled letters flash in titles

When you click on box 3 or 4 on the main page, the title will appear (either "memories fade" or "people disappear"). After the title appears, you'll see a quick scrambling of the letters. Too fast to read. I recorded it and watched it frame by frame (screenshots are over at Neowin.com on page 47 of the box 2 thread)

There are two frames

Frame 1 - eo el disa 1 r

Frame 2 - peopler disapdP ae (with the o and p in peopler looking more like a lower case phi than o and p - and the dP offset)

I don't have a clue about what to do with this - but I'm positive it's real (and it's not a stretch at all - it's a reproducible, two-frame insertion on the main page of the game site) A

Any ideas?

Interesting

I don't think it's anything important to the game...probably just something to make the puzzle section look cool...but it is a thought and at this point, we're not sure if we're waiting for the next clue or missing it...so we should definitely look into anything and everything!

wow

I'm surprised, after all the minute details people are investigating, that a blatant clue on the front page of the game is being dimissed so easily.

I understand if people are thinking about different things - but keep this info handy because I'm inclined to think it will be important at some point.

Please note - the letters that show up on those two frames CAN'T be used to spell "memories fade" or "people disappear" - they are clearly placed there by someone...it's more complex than it seems.

Maybe it's just an effect of scrambling letters, to eventually show the two phrases? I've seen it all the time.. and we've decompiled the flash page multiple times.. I doubt if it is anything.

Also check Phi "The GOLDEN Problem" (just run a simple Google search)....

Now scroll down...Notice anything familiar down that page? From Loki's BIO perhaps? I have been saying since the poem it was "Golden" not Loreley or Lorelei.

With the invites and the transportation...Lots of people will "disappear!"

I think there is something to this, as the phi symbol was found in the lettering, and Golden was found in the poem. There is also two attchments in Cglreng's post of a way phi can be used.

I did an anagram search. I still haven't been able to come up with anything for Frame 2 YET. BUt... I came up with "I adore lies" for Frame 1. That's if the 1 is actually an "i". Quite strange, don't you think.
