POSTING GUIDELINES -- Please read
To keep the signal-to-noise ratio up, and make things tidy...
NOTE: Shamelessly ganked from the lovely and talented Konamouse.
Just to help keep things organized, please refer to the posting guidelines for UNFORUM. Please check the existing threads before starting a new one (we don't have the merge option yet).
It'll help people find the information more quickly if we label our threads (put the label in brackets and caps before the topic title).
If you are posting an [EMAIL] or [PHONECALL] from a character, go ahead and just [quote] it.
If you are posting an [PUZZLE] from a character or website, please [quote] it. If you post a [SPEC] (speculation about what something means or where the story is going), go ahead and post it. Please save the [spoiler] for SOLVED puzzles. If a puzzle is solved, the author of the first post in the thread can edit the thread topic to [SOLVED] (saves time for the mods). If you are posting a topic about who's behind the curtain, how the game is organized or structured, or other META topics, please tag your new thread with a [META] tag.
If there's a general new development to the game that doesn't fit either the [WEBSITE] or [LIVE EVENT] tag, please use an [UPDATE] tag.
Use [WEBSITE] to start a new thread for a new website. If there is new information on a existing website, find the existing thread and add to it (make a note of the [UPDATE] in the Subject line of your post). Keeping all the info for one site in one thread makes it really easy to see the continuity.
If it's a live event -- a deaddrop, a meeting with a character, etc. -- please use the [LIVE EVENT] tag.
If the update is an "official" Lonelygirl15 update, and not by the Cassieiswatching PMs or one of the other numerous spinoffs/gamejacks, please tag it [LG15].
If you are responding to someone else's post, you don't need to quote the ENTIRE post, just the specific point (deleted all but the point you are responding to).
If you are having difficulties or have a specific question, post your question in the appropriate thread.
If you are going to have a conversation (posting back and forth because you can't access chat) with another member that doesn't really have any direct bearing on the game for other people, please take it to PM.
If you have recently posted a spec or information, then something new comes up, you can EDIT your previous post rather than adding another new one (especially if it is just one or two lines).
