Still confused

I am still lost.

Does the minesweeper grid have anything to do with the puzzle? I understand the answer related to the clues at the bottom left of the card, but not the minesweeper grid.

When you complete the grid, the mines will be placed such that they spell out a phrase. That phrase is a clue to the correct answer.
