I was starting to believe that there wasn't a real solution!

Grumbyboy? Now sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
Of the lad of the great big frown,
Three years ago he did commit
To break that damn door down
Of all the riddles they blasted through,
Greywethers led astray;
Each chaser had to hang his head
In shame and wan dismay...
In shame and wan dismay...
When Greywethers started getting rough,
The crowd became confused
And if not for the courage of the tired few
Dale would have sung the blues;
Dale would have sung the blues.
The legacy of Greywethers was hardly worth the while -
Just ask Grumpyboy, the ScrappyDoo,
Mr. LeftBrained, and his Wife,
the Movie Star,
the Sin Vraal and Enaxor, man,
That Szulborski dude was vile!
Yes, this is the tale of the castaway
Puzzle (for a long, long time).
The solvers went their separate ways
To puzzles much more prime
Yet Grumpy wore his skippers hat
And did his very best
To outpace those long left behind
by the Greywethers' ugly mess.
No sums, no steg, no simple sub
not that freakin' ADIGONE.
Yet 3 years gone, like clockwork math,
He solved it, one, two three.
Now he joins us here on Unfiction
Though it took him quite awhile,
From the tremendously relieved crew
He's basking in the smiles.

Well done, grumpyboy. You can finally take off that human suit you've been wearing, and reveal your true identity.
And I've said too much.

Let me echo everyone else's praise here and add that somehow, somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew I would someday see a post saying exactly that.
Somewhere in the back of my mind I always knew it would be gb who solved this one. And yay! he has! Yay.
