[question] PPC quotes

If this is not the correct forum, feel free to trout me Smile

I'm doing a little project, and I was wondering if you guys could help me out? My question is....

Do you have any favourite PPc quotes? And what are they?

(Examples: Quotes from the Sentinel, from previous puzzles, famous player quotes, etc.)

Try and keep them short. The best ones are those that sum up the idea/ funniness/ PPC in 10 or less words.

Thanks

Well, or although some of them are painful, (Yes Gibbet, they really are!) there is some good "Kurt is dead" limericks and punnage over on the wiki.

Not 10 words or less, but:

"How many Kurts could a Kurtkiller kill, if a Kurtkiller could kill Kurt?"

This might be a strange one, but it is the only one that ever sticks in my head.

During the pre-game Project Syzygy, way back when clues were short, speculation was 46 pages long and things moved...sedately, a fella called Jonas found a postcard at Bologna airport. Further copies turned up in starbucks and if I'm right the same one was in books in a library in NYC. They sparked endless speculation and the most terrible threads ever, all due to the 24-digit number (which turned out to be a terrible maths pun).

But back to the quote...Jonas started his post with:

Jonas wrote:

Hello, my name is Jonas.

and went on to add

Jonas elaborating wrote:

Today at Bologna airport I found the Perplex City Sleeps postcard but I am confused. What does it mean? I found this site by Google. Please help!

Which has always stuck in my mind, partly as the iconic cry of a newbie falling down a rabbit hole (and using his google-glands), and also as it reminds me of "Call me Ishmael" and "Hello, my name is Johnny Cash" in one perfectly formed parcel.

the 3PGroupwareManager had a number of pretty good quotes.

O3: Point me and pull the trigger.

V: Everything that we do is done with love.

O6: Will it work? Undoubtedly! Will it proceed to raze everything within a 12-block radius? Quite possible. You don't anticipate that will be a problem, do you?

V: You're talking last ditch when I need top drawer.

O8: But will they really believe that *any* organisation would set up such a byzantine series of tasks just to get two agents to meet?

PXC's secret weapon: snark.

Believe it.

From Violet:-

Quote:
Today's Word: Exsanguinate: to drain of blood.

An ominous entry, rather horrifyingly mirrored by events on Floor 157 of Ascendancy Point not too long afterwards.

Now...what was the name of that book again?

Quote:
"The Third Power, the Archers and Something Else Sinister Sounding."

Or was it...

Quote:
"The Third Power, the Archers and the Shadowy Masters Behind the Scenes."

Or maybe...

Quote:
"The Third Power, the Archers and the City of Dawn: An investigation into the Power of the Perplex City Cube and those who have guarded it"

But my favourite had to be...

Quote:
"The Third Power, the Archers and the Socially Inadequate Conspiracy Theorists"

That has to sum up the entire game.

Of course, anything from here is pretty quotable, especially if it contains a sock puppet:

Quote:
<josiah> let sock puppet say "Just a normal sock puppet, just taking him (refers to human) for a walk" while with other hand pushing troll firmly into pit of death, while the troll is distracted

<RecedaGame> The troll falls into the pit of death, looking horrified at the sock puppet's betrayal. "Why did you do such a thing, dear sock puppet? NOOOOOOO!!!!!!" You ignore the troll and walk over the bridge.

or silent ninja library assasins:

Quote:
<RecedaGame> Silent assassins flit out between the bookshelves and slice off your head. They leave a note on your body which says, "No talking in the library." You die.

or both:

Quote:
<dysper> let sock puppet hit scholars in between their legs

<RecedaGame> The scholars cry out in pain, and the silent assassins swoop in, beheading them. The assassins nod to you in honour, as one group of warriors to another. You take a library card.

It also contains the best advice that MC ever gave us:

Quote:
<RecedaGame> As you wait, you stumble and fall, due to your reduced health. You die. Well done... you were smart, but not smart enough. You should've tried for the balls earlier.

Well someone had to mention the sock puppet.

Short and sweet:

Violet Kiteway:
