[WIBS][TRAILHEAD] Who is Benjamin Stove? I saw this in a blog ad recently. I haven't investigated it much yet (no time at the moment) but it could be a potential ARG.

Somebody on the in-game message board mentioned that the crop circles look like a 2-D representation of the molecular structure of ethanol...
I'm new to this whole ARG thing, so sorry in advance for any message-board faux pas!

No worries. It's not trout unless it's on this board.
That being said, we were discussing in chat earlier about how we should handle their being 2 boards. IMHO, META talk (that is talking about the game as a game) should remain here, but I think the rest should be played by ear. It's not like we can force everyone to play at one board or other or both, so people should just do what they feel comfortable with. Going from past games, Steinitz/Urns was played pretty extensively on their in-game boards, but AotH was mostly played out on here (we only posted to stolena3 with our signifnicant findings). So it really can go either way.

Sounds good -- I've been on the in-game boards, and most of the people there are still caught up in wondering whether it's a "hoax," and suggesting the guy try classmates.com...
Newbie question: From what I understand, the PM usually stays pretty hidden, but this site has an active and visible go-to guy. It's obviously a persona (...right?), but he's active on the boards, answering people's questions and saying things that at least sound leading. Does that usually happen on in-game discussions? Do we pay attention to this guy? Send him a private message demanding a hint?? Would he try to mislead us as part of the game?
I know, I'm a total greenhorn...

The PM's use "characters" in all ARGs. I would just let it play out for a few to see where "Tucker" goes. We have to have somewhere to start and a little bit of leading.
Enjoy and I'll see ya in the game....

"Tucker" really can't mislead you, nor give you hints, because he's the one in the dark, asking you for the answers. If anything, he'll play stupid while players feed him pieces of the puzzle. Don't think of Tucker as a PM, because he isn't running a game, he's just telling us the story of what he knows so far.
