Because it says "these DODs" and not "some of these DODs," I assume we need all nine of them.

Some people's days are numbered. Keep that in mind, and you'll have all the information you need ...

From this, I deduce (possibly incorrectly, but so what else is new?) that the other information gathered actually has nothing to do with this particular puzzle, but was simply a challenge-and-reward (T-shirts) for our intrepid colleagues who could not be online hunting down cards today.

My theory: Richardson's first name is hidden in the dates.

Despite my earlier post, I have to agree with Shad0. And Richardson is a character from the 20's so it seems reasonable that he will be at least one of the cards. It might be that the DOD code forms a whole name though and that that card will give us a first name for Richardson.

I of course tried Jackrichardson and johnrichardson (how did "Jack" ever become a nickname for "John"?)

The thing that seemed most obvious to me was to translate the graves to cards (via Tombstone Hold'Em rules) and then use the cipher that Lucky taught to Lucy. That seems to gives us a whole bunch of nothing, though. Even if some of them are multiple-person graves and translate into jacks, queens and kings, I can't see us getting anything from:
Code:
10  7 10  5  2  2 10  6 10
23 20 23 18 15 15 23 19 23
 J  G  J  E  B  B  J  F  J
 W  T  W  R  O  O  W  S  W

(Duplication of lines 'cause I don't know the shape of the tombstones.)

UPDATE:

Lucky showed up at a poker table, asking for the top ten people in the Fellowship of the Dead. He is giving each of them a date of death, in order. Yes, there appear to be ten of them. So far:

#1-#4: unchanged

#7: September 7, 1866
#8: October 21, 1850
#9: November 18, 1796
#10: March 14, 1863

I talked to Lucky, he gave me the date Dec, 13, 1775. I am #5 on the fellowship standings so I assume it's #5.

Solved JackMcGurn

But I don't know how in the hell someone got machinegun.

I was glad to help someone else find the card though. Wink

[SOLVED] [PUZZLE] Dates of Death

Lucky (thedealer) showed up in Tommy Gun 1, and summoned the top-ten folks who did small favors.

For those who got in contact with Lucky, he PM'd them date of death (DoD) of the ten tombstones in the cementary in DC.

By the time Lucky left, he gave out 9 out 10 DoDs.

Following the clues of "Days are numbered", ARGers in #lastcall and #LCPuzzle came up with:

JACKM-GURN

Like other ARGers, I typed in JackMcGurn into the profile search but nothing turned up.

Out of curiosity, I searched for Jack McGurn via Google. Many web pages came up as hits, and I learned that Jack McGurn was a gangster in Chicago in the 1920s.

For example, here's information about Jack McGurn's grave:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=2649

Anyway, Jack McGurn was nicknamed "Machinegun", which turned out to be the profile name...The 1st card from the 1920s era. I think Lucky wrote to the DC group that it'd be the 1st of 8 cards to be found.

Sarah Trinh was found earlier via an in-game interaction with Tony Viet. After Machinegun (Jack McGurn) was found, his clue referenced Robert R.

Earlier during the day, Lothar Barbel had the clue that pinpointed "Richardson" as having the gun in the 1920s. Mapmaker pieced the two together and found RobertRichardson.

Thanks to those who helped solved the puzzle. I wouldn't have gotten the "machinegun" card...if it weren't for everyone trying to solve it together.
