[UPDATE] Mind Candy - Flickr Blog

This is likely out-of-game, but Mind Candy Design now has a new news tidbit on their front page pointing people to their E3 Flickr Blog.

Good luck at the show, guys!

Edited to add: I see what appears to be a stack of Tourist Guides and possibly some CDs on the table as part of press kits.

The cards that they are putting together for the press pack are different from the ones that we already have - I do hope that someone is going to be able to go. One looks like 025 (from the span of cards), but the others look like brand spanking new ones!

So finally, the backer of this ARG is Nintendo? And the cube is their newest game console?

I doubt it, if you look at their other pictures there are a hell of a lot of the PS2 + PS3 stands, i reckon they just got the pictures from a presspack.

the new nintendo console's not even called gamecube anyway, its revolution. so unless 'losing the cube' is a metaphor, then we dont really have anything to go on. i dont blame them for having a pic on their laptop, it is very pretty after all :)

rach =)

edit: p.s. im suprised no one has made anything of exactly what brand of laptop theyre all using ;) but again, i just think it shows they have good taste :)

Maybe that's the container they're going to put the cube in to keep it safe when they find it, and those are 'air-holes' so the cube can breathe.

I thought the same thing when I saw that thing. Perhaps that's what will hold all the money? Laughing

Can anyone make out the writing in the state of play booklet?
Probably doesn't contain anything we don't already know, but its worth a try.

I see they're looking for a developer for a Perplex City videogame (!)

Working on making out the text. My eyesight is used to this but getting tired quickly. I have most of the right "What are we working on?" paragraph written out.

EDIT****

Okay, here's my reconstruction so far:

RE-EDIT****

In the words of Strongbad...DELETED! now redundant.

If you log in as a Flickr user, you can get the image in multiple sizes--including the original 1920x2560 resolution. The typos are all mine...

Who are we?
Mind Candy is Europe's foremost developer of Alternate Relaity Games (ARGs). Founded in 2003 and based in London, Mind Candy uses a wide variety of media to create its games, including mysterious websites, cryptic billboards, mobile phones, magazine adverts, skywriting, and real life events.

What have we worked on?
Our first project is the Perplex City puzzle card game developed in conjunction with the Perplex City Academy. Played globally, the game involves a mixture of online and offline puzzles in order to locate a hidden treasure and claim the $200,000 (L100,000) reward.

What are we working on?
In addition to our continuing development of the Perplex City game, Mind Candy also aims to create other types of ARGs with a variety of brands. We are currently looking for distributors, retailers, and a developer to create a Perplex City videogame.
