On the page with the Sadhu holy man, scroll down and to the right and there is another image of one of the hands. (The one with the really crooked pinky).
Make that six down...

The carved stone image is at a Temple in Esna, Egypt dedicated to Khnum. For a long view of the figure with the six-fingered hand, look here
Info on Khnum can be found here, among other places.
Khnum: God of childbirth. Shown as a potter working clay (shaping children in the womb). Some creation myths claim He formed the Cosmic Egg. Sometimes shown with the head of a ram.

, listen to the one labeled Pythagoras.....sounds sort of similar. (I know it's not it, but could we be looking for something like it?)
Make sure to listen to the end....as that's the part that is most similar.
Did you see the one farther down the page titled "Orpheus"? It doesn't sound like the puzzle notes, but then that would be too easy (TP's page is Orpheus/tpchat.html)
I did some cruising through some of the linked sites from here and came across this one that has some eerie coinkydinks with some of the bot responses from TP :

Mythology of Science
Arnold Keyserling -- a student of George Gurdjieff (are you a student was asked of me several times) - who looks a lot like Santa Claus (mentioned by TP to me once as one of her friends)

If you stretch the spectrogram window more, you can see that the 'O' is actually a 'g', so instead of SORODACTYL, we have SORGDACTYL.
/me bows low
I haven't seen it mentioned here, but one of the hands is an artistic thing, and the thumb has, in plain headlines: "Survivor found in rubble at S..."
Not sure if it's meaningful, of course.
That sounds like something would say! Hitler

Polydactyls First, excellent work danman_d!
I noticed that the artwork of a hand actually has seven fingers, (six and a thumb) and appears to be holding a microphone. Also, the "six fingered man" from The Princess Bride, had six fingers on only one hand, the other was normal, all the other real polydactyls have six on both.

Edited to add: I think it says "Survivor found in rubble of South..."

Just some interesting definitions:
A body or group of sorcerers and physicians that originated in Phrygia, which also included magicians, conjurers, soothsayers and exorcists. They were thought to be very powerful in the Mediterranean region. It is claimed that the discovered minerals, musical notes, fire, musical instruments of which they introduced into Greece, Crete, and Italy. Hercules was alleged to be their leader. A.G.H.
In Greek mythology, they are demons believed to live on Mount Ida in Phrygia (Asia Minor), or on the Isle of Crete. They were considered to be the first metallurgists: they discovered iron and the art of working metals by fire. They belonged to the retinue of the goddess Cybele. The Dactyls are sometimes identified with the Cabiri, Curetes and Corybantes; mostly because of the mystery cults that surrounded those groups. Their name is derived from daktylos ("finger") and is probably based either on their skill with metals or on their small size.
