well on http://home.comcast.net/~projectgateway/ it asks you to enter your name to begin with, maybe if you put the answer to riddle it will show you something on the site?
Ive tried Candle, Light, Darkness and nothing noticable has happened yet...

Tried "sound" and "music", going byt he early keys we found embedded in music files. No noticeable effect.

I think sequoya's might be the correct answer, both to the riddle and about how are we supposed to deliver the answer. I believe it's gonna happen through the command prompt, maybe at midnight.
Or maybe the answer is simply "light", keeping with the light vs. darkness theme...

It says state your name, so it might be even "LightCrash" as the solution. I tried entering this as my name in the prompt, though, no visible change. They seem to be intent on reminding us of every single character's "real" names, though, in the echoes, so it might be LightCrash's street name we're looking for. Or it could just be a command prompt.

Incidentally, I think the style backgrounds are references to firestorm and belle. The random schoolbuildings seems to fit the style of the PG website.

Not sure if it plays into a puzzle, but Nine Inch Nails has a new song called "The Hand That Feeds" from their upcoming album titled "With Teeth"

I can see "do you believe" in the upper left hand text.

Lyrics Ok, back to my original thought of Nine Inch Nails, Here are the lyrics to the chorus. The first two lines should be interesting to you.
Quote:
Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

Other things I think I can pick out:
"deep" before "do you believe"
"Step close to you" (also, "step close, " not followed by "to you") on the bottom lines
"know" buried lower left
"ever" someplace, can't even find it again
At first I disagreed slightly on Randomeis' analysis, but the lyrics match seems far too close to be coincidence. On the other hand, from what else I can see there's clearly something else in there too.
I'm not sure why you needed to stack the images to see this--all it does is change the color balance to white, the overlayed characters for each image are the same. Which also means I can't think of any method of reliably extracting the text other than squinting (except maybe if I knew the exact font used, I could subtract the identifiable pieces and hopefully reveal more. I may work on this but it's a long shot).

Font This is the font that was spec'ed to be the same font used.
I'd say if this is the font they used a 42 point size
also the reason i layered the images ROYGBIV style was becuase i was thinking of the pgcc32 riddle, and filling the room with "light" being the answer.

I have an idea about alligning the images up - I noticed that there is multiple lines...maybe if we line up the lines exactly it might become clearerer.

Believe me, I tried. There doesn't seem to be any point of reinforcement or cancellation. I will try with the font Randomeis supplied, though.
[update] Looks like that is the font. There's some odd formatting going on in there too--the precise settings I've mostly used to reporoduce the text is 42pts., with an additional 104% vertical and horizontal scale, and 23 tracking. If you write the lines with these settings with color DE5251, set the layer mode to "exclusion", and move them around, you should be able to see where they go--they'll turn to mostly evenly gray text. Note also that the extreme top and bottom were cut off, so for example the "y"'s in the bottom line had their hook-bits cut off.
The scaling I had to stack with the point size makes me think these images were rescaled at some point, probably from a larger resolution.
I've managed to extract the following. I've paired what I think are left and right splits of the same lines.
"deep do you believe,... bite the hands that fee(d)" identified as NIN lyrics
"t know that Fiona a...my van every Sunda(y)"
"a step closer, baby, ... step closer to you (the?)"
I'm going to work on the rest, but it's taken me a couple hours to dig this much out, and these were the easier ones. No promises.
