There are billboards.

I fail to see why someone wanting to covertly blow things up would purchase a billboard in a metropolis.

Why, you say, would someone design a game to "give some one[sic] an experience"? That's why all creative media is produced, be it books, movie, television, video games, or ARG's. This is an elaborate art project. Deal.

Yeah, but people get money for writing, relasing a movie, or producing a tv show ro video game. What does Neuro cam gain from this?? They must be spending money on the bill boards and making the web sites.
Are you tring to tell me that they are doing all this out of the kindness of thier hearts. No way I don't buy it they have motives, whether it be terroism or other wise.

Has anyone actually looked in something they are delivering??

Things like that tend to be very art-based, though, and art is really hard to produce if you don't enjoy what you're doing. Just because there's a monetary aspect to it doesn't mean it's all about the money. Neurocam may or may not have some sort of financial payoff for the creators, but that doesn't make the payoff the focal point.

Actually, you've just described an ARG. Most major ARGs cost a good amount of money to the creators and are free for people to play. Yeah, other than the few commercial ARGs, they are doing it just to entertain the community.
Nash Carey of RWG, for example is actually giving thousands of dollars to peoplle to make FREE ARGs.

That's just how the ARG world works.

He was. I know he's funding one game right now, but officially, he has suspended that offer and is no longer funding other people's games.

I signed up for NC when it first started popping up here, but I didn't even bother to return my Perception analysis once I had researched it. It just seemed to weird. My real question is, why hasn't anyone bothered to bust open one of these silver briefcases? Who cares if you get kicked out of this thing. I think it would be better to know that you're not delivering terrorist intel or something even more sinister.

Well, I'm sure it could be opened with some kind of forceful means. Crowbar, acetylene torch, explosives...... Where there's a will (and explosives) there's a way.

Heh, wouldn't it be weird if that was the point of the whole thing. An experiment to see how long it takes before someone breaks into it. Watch, it contains a sign saying congrats, you win!

And a MILLION Dollars!!

Crowbar definitely won't do it, but i'm sure some explosives would do it. YAY EXPLOSIVES.

Be better if someone could open the case and close it so there would be no evidence of tampering. That way you could satisfy your curiousity without having to explain a 'sploded briefcase.

I've received my Assignment...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Dear Operative

This e-mail contains the details of your next Neurocam assignment.

NEUROCAM ASSIGNMENT – NCI – 2561/01 – Dead Drop Reconnaissance

(A) AIM

The identification of three (3) viable “dead drop” locations which will
be utilized in future assignments.

(B) EXECUTION

Below are the procedural details for this assignment. Any deviation
from the operational protocol described may result in a requirement of
disciplinary action against the operative.

1. Locate three (3) potential “dead drop” locations within your city.

2. Submit a report to the Operations Division (operationsSPLATneurocam.com)
which details these locations and describes how they can best be
utilized for the transfer of documents and objects. The submission of
photographic materials and maps is encouraged, but not essential. If
you are unable to provide this additional material, however, it is
expected that written report will contain a significant amount of
location detail.

(C) OPERATIONAL SECURITY

Neurocam International is aware that many operatives publicly discuss
and relate their Neurocam experiences via online forums and web
journals. Operatives are permitted to disclose the details of this
assignment, but are prohibited from providing the particulars of their
final report. Any operative found doing so will suffer immediate
expulsion from Neurocam.

If you have any doubts about what is allowed under this clause, please
contact the Operations Division before publication.

(D) TIMELINE

The time restrictions of Neurocam’s ongoing operations dictate that
Neurocam Assignment NCI-2561/01 must be completed by 10/02/05.

(E) LEXICON

Dead Drop (n) - a location used for the clandestine exchange of
intelligence information;

Regards,

Charles Hastings
Head, Operations Division
Neurocam International

Damn, either this game is going to move REALLY slowly, or this isn't taking place where they write the dates in the standard MM/DD/YY order.

Shucks.

I believe Neurocam is based in Australia. Could be DD/MM/YY format.
