 Press

I've been doing some Googling today, and found this article about the tie-in print ads that have been running in various UK magazines.

jandockx posted that link in the main thread, here is his post.

although i don't think it's a bad idea to have a "press" thread, and maybe an "ingame links" thread. if no one else does it, maybe i will post it later tonight.

Doh! Sorry guys.
A Trout is me Wink

But I agree - a press thread is useful, and I have no doubt it'll get some more posts before this thing is out.

I don't know if it has been already noticed, but did you see the photos on each site?:

Yeah, a lot of the pictures on the sites seem to be based on the three print-ads (Devil at crossroads, Devil in office, Devil at airfield) - either taking a cropped image from the main ad or showing us the scene from a slightly different angle or without The Man In Black etc.

press?

I guess this counts as press. www.thehidingroom.com was the website of the day here on this past Tuesday:

www.favouritewebsiteawards.com

I'm sure the site is not in game or anything but there are some other cool sites on there to check out.

peas out...

Incidentally, and I know this isn't press but it still counts because it's publicity, I've gotten in the habit of leaving little notes with the following text:

Quote:
REWARD
10,946 GBP
PHLEEM FIJNOND MODTOC

-A. Ragman

in library books and taped onto bathroom walls. I figure anyone who's clever enough to realize that this is an anagram, decode it successfully, and find this community is clever enough to help us out a little.

Bottle from fridge

Did anyone esle notice that in the third picture shown here:
http://www.pdnonline.com/photodistrictnews/headlines/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000529643

The man in black is holding a bottle exactly like the one in Jon's fridge in thehidingroom.com

Does this mean anything?

I'm gonna go with no. I think it's been confirmed that the fridge bottle is just a thing of Stella, which is of course just props to the company putting on the ARG.

New Article

The ARG is featured in the latest issue of Advertising Age. It has a lot of info which has clearly come from a client/agency briefing to the magazine, and states "a reward of nearly $20,000 will soon go to the winner". I think we can expect a winner and an update before the six weeks is up.

If there's any chance of a scan of that article, it would be much appreciated!
