[UPDATE] Postcard

Hello, my name is Jonas. Today at Bologna airport I found the Perplex City Sleeps postcard but I am confused. What does it mean? I found this site by Google. Please help!

Hi Jonas,

Welcome to the world of ARG Smile This postcard you say you've found, the best thing to do would be to scan or take a photo of it, so we can have a look.

Who knows maybe it gives us a clue, or it could just be a part of the marketing buildup.

Hello, Jonas, and welcome here Very Happy

I second the request that, if at all possible, you please scan this card, or at lest let us know what is on it. Thanks in advance.

It is really hard to explain what this Perplex City thing is. I would say that it is a game that is not a game, but I suspect that that would only further confuse you. You can see what one of the Perplex City creators has to say about it here. Shameless plug notwithstanding, here is a game that took place last year (my experience with it started just like yours now, with a lot of confusion and a "What does it mean?" - ah, good times Mr. Green ).

If you become interested in this, you can read up on what we know about Perplex City so far here and here. Hope this helps.

Yes, I'd like to see a scan too Smile
Hmm.. my mum is going on holiday tomorrow and I wasn't going to go to the airport to say bye because the flight is very early, but I may just go now with ulterior motives Very Happy Despite the fact that there's probably absolutely no chance that there would be any postcard there, hah.

fifthing, if there is such a thing, a request to see the scan of the postcard. We need some fresh info, to keep us busy, otherwise the speculations will become more far-fetched, even though the story of the game is far-fetched.

Could, of course, just be a postcard made by a fan trying to get more people to get into the game. I'll still look at the airport tomorrow. Yes, I'm that sad that I'll be in the airport at about 6.30am searching on tables, under payphones, etc. for a postcard that is not very likely to be there considering the more likely locations it would be at, if any, going by Adrian Hon's blog Shocked But I have the excuse of saying bye to my mum Very Happy

Haha yeah. I wrote a little bit on the wall of a toilet cubicle at uni the other day directing people to perplexcity.com, not likely that anyone would actually go though, considering it was one of the less-used toilets on campus.

nice idea Smile plus it will mean that anyone who actually finds there way to the site would probably be potentially interested in it anyway.

Thank you for your responses! What an adventure! I am in Italy so don't have access to scanner, I am from Bergen in Norway. The postcard is from someone called Sente (maybe Sento?!), he says he needs help because a cube is missing and that more contact is to follow. I have a camera phone here, how can I put pictures on this forum?

If you have the correct cables for your phone, connect it to the computer and load the picture(s) of the postcard onto there. You can then upload it to some sort of picture hosting site OR, email it to me (hannahDOTsaksATgmailDOTcom) and I can upload it to my picture hosting site and I'll post the link to it.
Where in the airport did you find it- was it on a table or something?
