I have over 120 views but only 3 PM's.....hopefully this will pick up..Its hard with only 3 people in. 8hrs 15min to go!

I think it's only fair if you take each member's "Latest entry" before the deadline, because some of us posted answers before you added the two extra questions (and before you requested to not keep sending different answers). My "latest entry" is my only entry that includes your latest two questions, so I am hoping I am still considered in the raffle!

In any case, thank you so much for doing this!!!

Its all good bud, I will make it all fair..only 3 people have submitted since the change so I went ahead and added more before too many poeple replied.

1. In the year it was released, the Motion Picture Academy refused to nominate Tron for special effects because, according to director Steven Lisberger, "The Academy thought we cheated by using computers".

2. Sark barks orders to an underling, to his right is Pac-Man, frantically munching away in vain, with a trail of pac-dots visible but beyond the little guy's reach. And if there's any doubt of the full investment in his guest starring role, you can hear the familiar sounds of the game just below the dialogue.

3. The inspiration for Tron occurred in 1976 when Steven Lisberger, then an animator of drawings with his own studio, looked at a sample reel from a computer firm called MAGI and saw Pong for the first time.[2] He was immediately fascinated by video games and wanted to do a film incorporating them. According to Lisberger, "I realized that there were these techniques that would be very suitable for bringing video games and computer visuals to the screen. And that was the moment that the whole concept flashed across my mind".[3] "Everybody was doing backlit animation in the 70s, you know. It was that disco look. And we thought, what if we had this character that was a neon line, and that was our Tron warrior - Tron for electronic. And what happened was, I saw Pong, and I said, well, that's the arena for him. And at the same time I was interested in the early phases of computer generated animation, which I got into at MIT in Boston, and when I got into that I met a bunch of programmers who were into all that. And they really inspired me, by how much they believed in this new realm."

4. The name "DUMONT" on the garage where Sam lived (a direct reference to where Dr. Walter Gibbs began ENCOM since his Progam's name was DUMONT.

6. Young Flynn...mainly due to the fact that the movie revolved around him and Tron. Tron:Legacy is more about Sam and I don't find him to be entertaining...or better than Flynn. Young Flynn made the movie along with the special effects which were ahead of their time...

7. I'm not going to pretend I'm a bigger fan than others... I love Tron...and I continue to watch the original movie as it's great... Tron brought humans and computers together as it humanized programs.... It gave us an inside visual of the new elecTRONic world.... it made Pong come to life....it was more than two paddles and a ball.... it became two programs and their discs... that was more fun... thank you for the opportunity to obtain your collection...
