One last one that I didnt catch the first time was that during the flashback they never show Clu actually strike Tron with the disc...he just thrusts it toward Tron and it cuts to Flynn's reaction. In the scene in front of the portal when Clu discovers he has Quorra's disc and not Flynn's he recoils the disc and appears to almost kill Flynn (and in the same manner as he did to Tron in the flashback) but instead he smashes the disc into the ground. Seems like that's what he did during the fight with Tron as well.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I have notice the Rinzler sound appears in the flashback as the camera is on Flynn right after CLU appears to strike Tron. We may never know if or where CLU hit TRON

actually i believe the artists put hidden mickeys in the movie and challenged Joeseph and others to find them. i dont know them, but am wondering if someone like jay west might be able to get the scoop in an interview...

In that case, nice summary Smile (nevertheless I'd still just change 'created for' to perhaps 'used in' or 'seen within', just to be more precise, or less potentially wrong =)

"Yeah. The "created for" part may have been a bit of a leap; But, I don't feel bad about it as the logo served absolutely no purpose and had no meaning in the film. Whereas, we got a nice clean explanation for it, though it may have been nothing more than an unused cinematic element.
Regardless... I've never seen a "stylized" or "looks kinda like" hidden Mickey.

Actually, it was mentioned elsewhere here, though I can't remember where or in what thread - the logo wasn't created for the ARG; the logo was used in the ARG. Had to do with production schedules and whatnot. It's not a hidden mickey, no, but it's not specific to the ARG.
OTOH, the manner in which it's presented in the film (8 horizontal on top) does lend itself well to being seen as a hidden mickey.
So while the logo itself isn't specifically a mickey, and wasn't created for the ARG, it could still be considered a hidden mickey due to its orientation.
But I digress Smile First hand confirmation from Kosinski or someone on the inside would be optimal...

i'm surprised these weren't in the royal/t tron popup shop, which would fit in with the high-end tron-themed art of the place but i digress.

Neat! Ok - same geometric shape as the desktop puzzle, indeed appearing to be yoshimoto cubes, but not the geometric shape of the neutral bit. =)

Re: 'Bits' in the pad

I posted this elsewhere... they're not the same geometric shape as the neutral bits, they're only reminiscent. The closest most recognizable shape here is the wooden desktop puzzles - a rhombic star

I seem to get almost "flamed" everytime I mention this, but the ARG was super heavy into "EncomInternational", then after Sam's parachute jump, it was totally abandoned. No more intranet, Verbis OS announcement, remote desktop, or cool Encom employee emails. The "Space paranoids" thing was the last "real" EncomInternational addition (disregarding Asus's promotion). The encom badge SWAG everyone got was no longer part of the ARG. I say this, because I really loved that part of the ARG. It really made the "Alternate Reality" part of the ARG as cool as possible. Finally seeing the movie with it's CEO, and total non-mention of the EncomInternational.com staff or people, I guess it finally made sense that 42E moved away from it. I don't think it was an oversight, more than it was just a decision to make the ARG more align with the movie. It finally explains a lot to me why EncomInternational.com sort of "died"... Just my thoughts...
