I cannot find any occasion where Josh asked Mysterio, either in the initial STIES communiques, or the recent chat, anything regarding items his mother left him, so where, "out of the blue", did that come from?
Xeno,
Josh post this comment at ATS (abovetopsecret.com):
“Hey – new to this site. Does anyone know the best way to authenticate something? Like old papers, photos, footage, etc? Are there experts for conspiracy related verifications? Would appreciate the help!”
I believe that is about this that Mysterio is referring when he/she say “Those items you were asking abou…” and he/she knows that Josh mother dies recently so he/she connect the things, so Josh wasn't asking directly to Mysterio about the items but to ATS community, at lest this is what I understand.

Melodyman;
Yeah, I can see that Mysterio may be referring to finding Josh on his site, and the jury is not in on just what the circumstances involving the mp3 file are, but there are a number of things that don't add up--as though we're only getting part of the communiques between the two.
For example, in the chat, notice this back and forth "chat":
Host: I'm here to help you find your father
Guest1: Is hein trouble or soemthing?
Host: Those items you were asking abou: the oney your mother left you: some of them may
have belonged to your father they may be important
Guest1: important how?
I cannot find any occasion where Josh asked Mysterio, either in the initial STIES communiques, or the recent chat, anything regarding items his mother left him, so where, "out of the blue", did that come from?
From my count, questions Josh asks Mysterio: six; questions answered by Mysterio: zero.
Questions Mysterio asks Josh: two; answers given by Josh: two.
As I've mentioned before, there is no "quid pro quo" with Mysterio, and Josh is foolish to keep giving without getting--I mean the only substantive thing Mysterio has offered is "this is about your father, I can help you find him.

Well, if Josh didnt understand it, then nothing was proven to him about being easy to find,.. I dunno.. Just guesswork since there are so few scraps to chew on, but he may simply be referring to the fact that he found Josh's website and now has established a portal of communication with him.
If I heard my voice on an audio clip someone sent me, i'd sure wanna know more about it.. Dont see that kind of reaction to the clip from our hero..
Of course, all cards are in play.. Just how i'm reading it..

Mysterio's non-quid pro quo as far as Josh goes.
When Mysterio states on STIES, “They're looking in the wrong place. But I still found you easily,” how does he prove that to Josh?
With the mp3 file, I believe that (if for nothing else) Mysterio has convinced Josh of his ability to find him by giving him access to something convincing—a conversation (with exactly who, we're not so sure) but sufficient enough to prove to Josh that Mysterio has been able to locate him.
In the “chat” session, when Josh writes, “i didn't understand what you sent before. this is crazy,” it's possible that Josh was making reference, not to the mp3 file, but the other audio file and the file we haven't been able to open.
Needless to say, I still think that Mysterio has offered up virtually nothing in exchange for what he/she has kept questioning Josh regarding--the item(s) he feels may be of importance—but to whom, Josh or Mysterio?

In the chat, Josh says he didnt understand the last stuff Mysterioso sent.. meaning we assume the two folders on the desktop.. It would seem that if the MP3 was a recording of Josh he would have recognized the sounds and his voice, which he apparently hasnt..
So, like the tones, we have no idea what these files are.. yet...

Going with the filming option it sounds to me as if the first line is:
"Sorry, didn't see him backlit"
Followed by:
?"If we had any they didn't show"
Is it the recording of a surveillance team? Would tie in with Mysterio's comment about finding him whilst they looked in the wrong place.

yeah a serious lack of effort on this one.
a video file would go nicely with it.
I wish I had more tech ability.

I agree on Mysterio
I posted before but I'll post again. I believe that the audio file is there as proof to Josh that he can be found. The ding/dong sound sounds like my video camera. It makes the same tones when I record and stop recording. Makes me wonder if there is going to be a video file here soon proving to Josh just how easily he can be found.

Embedded sound
Slinky;
I'm not the one that can help with that. The gov't could isolate each person's breath and be able to tell what song is playing in the background.
But I've noticed a real lack of the effort on this audio file compared with all of the work that went into the Breagen audio file when it first appeared.

Xeno,
Is there anyway a secret message can be embeded in the audio file? I'm not sure how these things work but something other than audio we are missing?

Slinky,
Yeah, your thoughts are similar to what I postulated a page back toward the top.
It'd be interesting to see the video of just what's happened--who knows, maybe we will!
Still think it's Mysterio's way of proving to Josh that he's been found, and it's Mysterio that's found him.

ok I been listen again.... I think that it's a possibility the voices we hear are not talking to each other for sure.
But I'm going with this:
Voice 1 was trying to snoop around the back of the counter/shop. As he tries to sneak round he bumps into the shop keeper.
Voice 1 Customer "I'm sorry I didn't see you back there"
Small dog barks.
A mumble.
Voice 2 "if we had any it'd be right there /(out here)"
Voice 1 "blue cam lion on it, do you think there's any in back now" {emphasis on back, perhaps a raise of the eyebrows" - during a little bell rings as a customer enters/leaves the store.
Voice 1 "Ok, sorry"
I also hear street noise and paper rustle.

Lion oil!
Trout me if you must, but an anagram for Lillian Ohio is; Hail Lion Oil. So, a blue can of lion oil, maybe their logo is a lion! So I snooped around on google and I found a possible IG site; www.lionoil.com. The pics on the site look very industrial like on the set pics. looks like they specialize in oil, gas, and asphalt.
