Just to follow up on my previous post, I might add that on 7/08 the moon phase should be the same as the RP site moon (according to the HLM calendar). Just sayin

Hey, I'm following the news on Super 8 for quite some time now, and I registered because I think i might have something to add here. I was looking on Josh's website and in one of his blogs he mentiones The Boston Fisherman. That name was quite.. 'catching' so I searched the interwebz and found a crappy looking website, and i'm the first visitor. Could there be a relation?
I've been looking at this for a while now and I can't make much of it, but I'm convinced there might be something there.
On the background image of the hooklineandminker the fish looks pretty doctored to me. The red on the fins looks fake, like it was added after the fact, but what is even more troublesome is the right portion of the first set of fins, sticking up off the fish.
There is a small circle that has either been tampered with, or added after the fact. The odd thing is that this fish should have spines (??) here anyway. Quick research implies this is most likely a yellow perch. The tail is a little different but that could be because of the swimming motion of the fish. Anyway, the fins should fade off just before the next set starts, not where they appear to have been erased. Further, no images (at least on 15 pages of google image search) appear to have any perch with fins that deep of a red.
In any case, I've tried altering the photo but I haven't found anything of value. My favorite idea was to try to match the correct color of the fins by taking some red out of the image, hoping to see something important pop up somewhere else. It didn't.
Can anyone at least tell me what the heck is going on with the black and white section on top??
If that fish lives in that aquarium with a slightly larger fish, he could be responsible for the missing spines. Fish in aquariums get attacked all the time especially when the owner fails to feed them. Or Josh buys common fish altered to look like rare ones... which is very possible

I have been reading as many of the past Super8 posts as I can, so this is my first post. As for the Craigs list posts I am thinking that the time on the clock in the photo is 11:36. If you look at the HLM calendar, 11:36 comes around everyother Thursday which means the next time it rolls around should be July 8 or 7/08. In looking back at the photo, it may be coincidental, but the part of the phone number that is shown is 708. It could be something will happen with the RP site on that day and between the times listed on the calendar.

Think I missed a key in my last post--the site is spokeo.com
to me it looks like theres a very small gap between the top of the brown bit of the fin and the black bit, the black bit could be behind the fish, maybe
I agree, but that makes it even more weird to me. The image wasn't just adjusted, it's like they cut something, then pasted something different. But its just a fin!!

Don't know if what follows is part of the UFO sites, shroom site, etc., but found this on spokeo.com searching for hlm1963:
I dropped out of geek 101 due to mono, so I don't have a clue what the list of 10 indicate?
The page says more info available...

Anyway, I'm not sure if this leads anywhere. Checked some other photo links from the hook, line and minker and most seem legit blogs and sites...
I don't think it leads anywhere but here is the google translation of the page.

Also, a link form his photo slider leads to a Japanese website with one of those nifty barcode things ARG makers seem to love. might be worth checking out. I don't have a smart phone or I'd do it myself. http://lala-live2-e.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2008/04/redlion_fish_in.html
Ok, after a few days trying to catch up with all these threads, here's my modest contribution: Checked that link and the barcode thing. The file name was qrcode which led me to QR code bars and a few online decoders... Anyway, the link that comes up from that qrcode is: http://app.m-cocolog.jp/t/typecast?blog_id=242053&user_id=204180
I don't understand japanese... Lot's of links, tho.

I think anagrams would definitely be an interesting way to go were it not a real fish. If we were getting extremely minimal hits on it like we are with Josh Minker, but since it's a real fish, maybe it's just not the right direction. But I do like that someone's found the fish are located no where Minker is looking... interesting.
