tron popup shop
i know the grand opening is tomorrow and just happened to be in the area. i didn't plan it, but discovered via foursquare that folks were hanging out at the tron popup shop in culver city earlier tonight.
for those that don't know, tron popup shop is an exclusive high-end(note:expensive) couture shop selling licensed tron-inspired merchandise. their grand opening is this friday morning at 10am. so, i was hanging out in front and discovered it was a private party for some of the cast and crew and others in the industry. who showed up? joe kosinski, olivia wilde, beau garret, james frain, eddie kitsis(one of the writers) and others. pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/blackfeathers/sets/72157625296974679/ edited to add: afterwards, they rushed out because they are doing an advanced screening of tron legacy followed by a q&a for the media and certain folks in the industry. olivia said it will be her first time seeing the movie. I don't know if this has been mentioned by anyone, but Discovery Channel is advertising a "special look at Tron: Legacy" alongside the new Mythbusters episode on Wednesday.

TRON Legacy Premier near Boston

One for the UK fans, i just had a phonecall saying "turn over to BBC1". On The One Show they had a short bit about Tron Legacy, i only managed to watch the last 5 seconds of it but thought its worth a mention as its the first thing about Tron Legacy ive seen on UK TV. I dare say itll be up on BBC iPlayer later.
