as
isn't it weird that McIntrye is a Madrigal.. so grace should be one and come to think about it.. amy and dan have the qualities of each branch!!!
but maybe the warning "beware madrigals" are for evil madrigals who hate grace and want to make clues harder.. it is a great theory isn't it?

It is good that you suggested using the Search It would be more polite to find your original post and include a link to it in your response. This is what we call a and it's suppose to be served very nicely.

amy and dans real rank
okay i watched a trailer a while ago on the 39 clues and i think you guys should ook at it because im an ekat and i watched it and i saw that when it goes through the branches it shows tomas and ekat and next to the tomas it says dan and next to the ekat it says amy so im assuming those are there ranks if not they are madrigals becasue they're grandmother was grace mdelaine cahill and madelaine (this is my theory was also a cahill that got seperated by a cause from the branches and made her own Madelaine Cahill the beginner of the madrigal;s i think it was graces great grandmother who strated the madrigals you will all find out by thwe ned of the books.have fun

Yes.
"Gideon" was an answer to a music note puzzle on the inside cover of Book 2 (One False Note), but we didn't know what it meant until Book 3 (The Sword Thief) came out and we got the history of the Cahills, starting with Gideon and Olivia.

I was re-reading The Sword Thief, when I noticed this, "In the fire of 1507, Gideon Cahill died. His children fled..." That got me thinking: what happened to Olivia? She did not die in the fire! But there is no mention of her!
Then, I formulated a theory based on 'what ifs'. Well, what if Olivia Cahill also fled the fire. She later married someone else, and had a daughter. Madeleine. That would make Madeleine a non-Cahill, as stated by McIntyre in Maze of Bones, but rather "an interested party in the Clues". Madeleine's descendants became the Madrigals! As to their objectives and goals, I have no idea.

Who's Olivia? When did McIntyre mention her? |
Olivia was Gideon's wife. McIntyre referred to the Madrigals as "not a branch of the Cahill family, but ...ah, an interested party in the Clues." |
Very clever theory....I like that. It also fits the whole thing about the Cahill name being used by people whose last name wouldn't technically be Cahill - like Amy, Dan, and Hope.

Edited to increase clarity and decrease juvenility.
If you're a month late to the conversation, it's pretty much a given that you should just move on if you don't have anything constructive to add.
