I got this in my inbox yesterday afternoon
From: Foresight Property Management Arrangements <arrangements>
Subject: Reservation Ticket (#200710-187)
| Quote: |
Dear Mr./Ms. Providence,
This email is to confirm that your new reservation ticket (#200710-187) is now active: billing has already been handled by an existing account holder. We look forward to welcoming you and your companions personally as new patrons. Currently our staff is seeking the best property in the Eastern West Virginia area for October 26th through 28th to meet your special health needs.
Several of our properties in that area could have additional cots brought in to provide comfortable sleeping for up to 8, but if your group could be larger than that you might want to make contingencies for additional bedding or air mattresses. Please advise if the severity of the sensitivity of your group requires the removal televisions and telephones and we will do our best to prepare the property according to your needs.
Just as we value your privacy, we also value the privacy of our property owners. Our deepest apologies that the exact details of your accommodations won’t be provided until closer to your departure date.
Thank you for using Foresight Property Management for your therapeutic retreat needs, and we hope the tranquil mountains of West Virginia provide the soothing tranquility you and your friends are seeking.

Heck yeah... after your awesome description of what could potentially happen I almost certainly have to go on this excursion and bring a video camera to boot if I can get my hands on a pretty decent one for the journey... then we can actually have a Blair-dritch project going on... That would quite honestly have to be the greatest story ever... now I can only hope that this adventure ends up putting me in a place where I can realistically get to from my current location in Central NY... hmm... perhaps a few prayers to the gods of Cthulu might enhance my odds of that happening...

Now that would be tight.
"So what'd you do last weekend?"
"Oh, I saved a bunch of friends from being devoured by dream-monsters. And then I nearly went insane as Cultists plagued me with nightmares... finally culminating to a group of us having to confront a bunch of dudes in orange robes who were trying to summon an ancient God of Chaos. So... not much. You?"

Ah when you grow up around a land of haunted scary things I'm pretty sure that no matter what may get thrown at me on this adventure will be nothing compared to the traumatic adventures growing up in a land of haunted stories where the people really take them quite seriously and consequently love to add fuel to the fire by actually taking the experience pretty close to the bitter end!... (An axe was literally swung just above my head and a gun fired very close by just to name a few... ) That's why I'm very excited about trying to see where this goes so that I can plan ahead... Guess I'll ahve to know the location asap so that I can actually see if I can realistically make it before time runs out... The way I see it though, worst case scenario I show up late on friday night when things have already started and the horrorfest is just beginning... now THAT would be interesting if I showed up in the middle of some crazy Cthulu related horrorfest... Don't know what I'd do at that point... hehe...

You guys are braver than I am; just being near woods in the dark sets my ape-brain a-screamin' and a-throwin' poop.
Add the fact that being devoured by a shoggoth is not out of the question?! Noooooo thank you!

Ravenwolf: sounds like you'll be sharing some scary ghost stories around the campfire.
I hope you can make it, this sounds perfect for you.

I am absolutely stoked about the idea of an immersive horror experience and am almost definltely planning on taking the adventure as long as it is not insanely inconvenient for me to do so... I unfortunately ran into one problem where I have a large exam on the first day of this excursion, but since I'd be done with it at aroudn 1:10 int he afternoon I figure if this ends up being in a place that's not insanely far from my current location in central NY that I will do whatever needs to be done to make sure I can take part in the awesomeness! I'm always one for a good horror experience since I grew up in a community with quite a few tales and stories of ancient mysteries, mysterious killings, crazy rabid bats that ate horses (got a grave to prove that one too... mwahahahha) and a very eerie but amazingly awesome haunted Inn right next door to my home that has quite a few eerie stories associated with it!... hehe... here's to hoping I can make this work!!!

*thinks of a close up on Cthulhu, talking in a scared tone:
"*sob* I just want to apologize to Nyarlie's mom, and Shub-Nuggerath's mom, and my mom. I am so sorry! Because it was my fault. I was the one who brought them here. I was the one that said "keep going to R'lyeh." I was the one who said that we were not lost. It was my fault, because it was my project. I am so scared! I don't know what's out there. We are going to die out here! I am so scared! *sob*"

The Blair-Eldwitch Project :Dark in the Park with Clark
We're taking the kids to Disney the week before. Unfortunately, there's no way I'd be able to do back-to-back trips. Sounds like it's going to be fun!
