I should have recognized that shot because of the composition. I know I thought about it at the time. It's definitely a different flick that makes you think and in the end, leaves you with a feeling like you've just been tossed out of a moving car. It's really graphic and (if you're not British) kind of hard to follow the dialog between vulgarities. But worth the work. I never did settle on the answer to a couple of my "Why?"s.
Good one, Urthstripe.

Yes, it is Kill List. And it is awesome. One of my favorite films of last year, but if you do plan on watching it, please read nothing about it. It definitely benefits from going in blank.

Hah! I had to check your location urthstripe, because this film was on FilmFour (a UK Freeview channel) last week...
I think it's called "Kill List"? I saw the tail-end of the film, and then there was an interview with the director afterwards.

That's it. Kind of a silly movie and I was a bit shocked to find a Disney movie I'd never heard of with recognizable stars. Oh. The debut performance was Sally Fields as a beatnick poet brought in for questioning.

I suppose this is Moon Pilot, then. Never even heard of it.

To paraphrase an Apple ad... "There's a site for that."
Here's a few more. One is the debut performance of an Academy Award winner.
ETA: Adding a brace that will either give it away or thoroughly confuse folks.

Well, the film's original title was "The Apple" but it also had an alternate name: "Star Rock"!!
I'm empty - so anyone, please go for me...

So, is this "Xanadu for cokeheads" as one reviewer advised?
I am very disappointed that no one wanted to jump in and steal the win. I was prepared to credit him with the assist, too.
Rogi, I couldn't get my DVD player to get a good freeze frame of that vehicle -- and I thought it would make it too easy for Muggles to track down the answer.
