Hello,
I bought puzzle 1 and 2 last month. I am still stuck on puzzle 1. I know the principle behind it (each disk needs to be 90 degrees with the previous one) and I know where to put the first disk (the one after the square circle block) as I noticed the groove in the block. But is there a trick other than trying every combination for the other 4 blocks ? Otherwise, it will take forever (4^4=256 possibilities)
Thank you!
so first of all welcome aboard. Second I figured out the first puzzle with my friend. once we got the first block to lift up a little bit if you look really close you can see where the second block is suppose to go etc its just the first of many headaches you'll face in this seris of puzzles.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Third after you slove the first one you're going to need the big dark colored block and one of the small dark brown blocks to solve puzzle 2, after you get the center piece out one of the pegs on the part that holds the scroll comes out(if you have extra parts when solving that you're doing fine).
see each of the puzzles is suppose to help you with the next one usually with extra parts you have from solving the previous one in the series.
hope that helps

Thank you, Shirley. I can always count on you to be on top of this. You're awesome. I see that the current boxes show the complete map in the wiki picture. I wonder if (big IF) the 7th box would have another map? Maybe someday we will find out.

I am a bit disappointed. It seems a bit like really poor craftsmanship if those puzzles do not survive mailing.
Pin arm... not exactly. I hate to spoil it for you, tho. But yes, your puzzle is defective... or at least... already open.
If you get another one (not defective) you can probably still enjoy the puzzle... since the trick to open it ultilzes a somewhat singular maneuver.
But yes, somewhat poor craftsmanship. I think part of it probably has to do with the fact that they are a small company... and many of these puzzles have been sitting on shelves and in warehouses for quite a few years. Things like their glue, etc, haven't stood the test of time.
Good concept. But. Their implementation has proved lacking. They still have never released official solutions for some of their puzzles (which seem to have multiple solutions). And it seems unlikely the final puzzle in the series will ever be released.
Kind of a shame.

The little knob on top should not come off. If you can, I would recommend exhanging it for another one.
Thanks Shirley, I will try to get a new one.
I have another question. Since the Temple seems to be defective, I checked the other puzzles that came in the same delivery. When I opened the lid of Carta Blanca, I saw that the lid was already half open. When I removed the puzzle, the lid easily slid off and I found the parchment in a plastic bag in the big compartment.
In a smaller compartment with had some sort of lid screwed on top, I found a wooden block and another piece with a pin and some sort of spring. It seems as if there is a hole in there where the pin might belong. Am I right?
I am a bit disappointed. It seems a bit like really poor craftsmanship if those puzzles do not survive mailing.

I just opened the enigmatic temple today and was wondering if it may be broken. I looked at it and realized that little 'knob' on top of it. I touched it lightly and realized that it is loose and could be pulled out pretty easily. The lower side looks rough in the middle as if it had been glued to that dark piece underneath that looks like it was a screw.
Is that how it should be? There are posts earlier on, but I am not sure that they are talking about the same thing.
No spoilers please, I still want to solve that on my own!!! Just let me know if it is ok that this 'knob' comes off.
Thanks!

For those still interested, I emailed Family Games about the release of #7, and they responded that it will be on the market in early Spring.
Funny. I wonder how long they will keep saying that. I will check back with them in 2014 and let you know what they say.
