Earth 1.0 is likely earth before the first ice age. If the HPP facility was found in the area of the Taymyr Peninsula. Kind of a "First People" thing with a hint of Terra Nova.

I nearly thought it was further afield when the comic showed Europa.

Good question, though. I think the final pages of the comic where Traelek referenced "you," he was talking about the player. I think what happened is that we were the ones to go through the now abandoned labs of HPP. Obviously, we freed the iceflies and they brought the world back to the state it used to be in. Traelek even mentions "humanity 2.0" which was made possible thanks to us!

But maybe I'm totally missing something. I feel like there's more, but everyone's got their conclusions now...
