Have you copied the words down? Using Windows Notepad might be helpful.
Or any editor with a Courier-type font.
|
|
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
| what difference does the font make?
|
|
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
| The pattern will become clearer in Courier or a similar font. Courier is just the most common font with this property.

monospace? hmm
i actually got the seal, but kinda used the same stuff in second and third gardens. and also you don't have to type real words at all.

Ah, okay. After going back and not rushing it, I can see the pattern for the second now. I was nearly there when I got through it the first time, but I hadn't generalized it enough.
Let's see, how to give a hint and not give it away? Tricky.

Okay, I finally understand the third one now, too.

On the second ('French') garden:
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
| The 'pattern' was less of a pattern than the other two gardens. There is a property that the garden words share and the others lack, of course, but the property is not what you'd call a 'pattern' within the words.
|
Second hint:
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
Just guessing is apt to work better for this one than for the other two gardens.

Yes, "help after the fact" would be welcome to me, as well. I got through it, but...
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
| ...for the second and third gardens, I think I only identified a single pattern and stuck with that, while there appear to be multiple patterns.

@NoSeeUm: The link to the puzzle is (big spoiler)
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
| in the text accompanying a previous theorem. Look for references to a garden.
|
You don't need any special screen sizing to access it.

Having looked at
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
| all the old theorems in the archives as well as the archive pages (obvious place to think of as his 'garden')
|
I still can't find the damn thing.
I am seeing some odd behavior
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
with text that loads as bold then changes to regular after a few seconds. Is this part of it?
Also a small square that loads as white near the anitsocial media link that seems to disappear as the page finalizes.
|
What screen resolution etc are those who can find this using?
(I recall another seal the link to which could not be accessed in some screen resolutions in its original version.)

To the best of my knowledge:
| Spoiler (Rollover to View): |
Garden One had a specific characteristic in the middle of each word.
I have no idea what Garden Two was.
Garden Three accepts only words that follow one of a certain set of patterns (hint: do some of the words seem similar?)

I found and got it! Took some guessing, after the first 'garden'. M sure has some crazy things in there.

I found it and solved it and understood all three parts. Here's a hint as to where to start looking.
