The quote in the page source had the word "important" in italics:

However, I really do thik its just me or my computer, because when i look at the website, i dont see it, only here. i think maybe full size it isnt there, so probably just a glitch on my senior citizen computer.

Yes, it does sound like your computer is rendering the image at a reduced size or modified dimensions. Here's a test:
  1. Go to the page with the image in question, like http://traelekinstitute.com/BBB/default3.htm
  2. Depending on your browser and keyboard, you should be able to right-click on the brochure and select a way to view just the image, such as http://traelekinstitute.com/BBB/cgh566rhfh.jpg
  3. Then also depending on your browser (such as Firefox), the image might be shmooshed to fit within the window. (Firefox shows a zoom-cursor if you can click on the image to resize it)
  4. Were you able to duplicate the resolution of the attachments you see here?

I might be trying too hard to help here, sorry.

Do you mean on the BBB pamphlet? Could you maybe throw a few images through Paint and circle what you're referring to so we can hop on the same page? Smile

Sorry, I'm a little new to the whole ARG thing (and apparently have an addictive type personality!) so I'm not so great with the technological stuff yet.

Welp, I printed out the pages and fiddled around with them. Here's what I managed in terms of lining up the creases. The way I see it, if you fold the center line inwards (so the center goes away from you) and the left and right page lines outwards (so they come towards you), the creases will line up perfectly. Plus, the blue bars line up. I just can't figure out where to go from there. I tried folding it along the creases, but it didn't create any recognizable shapes, and I tried taking all the letters that the creases go over, but they didn't form any useful anagrams. At least, so far as I can tell. There's a good chance I missed something.

It has already crossed my mind too.

It could also be interesting if we could find other original pictures that were used for the in-game documents. Most of the http://traelekinstitute.com subpages are likely to include some.

As far as Aftermath goes, has anyone suggested as of yet that the incident on page 24 of the log file is indeed what led to the crater? I realize that it was merely a vehicle, and couldn't have caused much of a crater, but the one in Aftermath appears to of explosive origin. Not to mention, the article tells of burning debris, which is the last thing we see on that page.

I just thought this sort of coincidence should be mentioned in case anyone else hasn't thought to.

In any case, that's just a theory. As for as the actual photograph in aftermath goes, it's an image of the crater left behind from the first atomic bomb testing in Alamogordo, New Mexico. See below link for image.

http://iconicphotos.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/atomicblast.jpg?w=635&h=474

I actually googled "explosive crater" to further investigate my original theory and found it under images.

Yeah that's also the case with filenames of achievements and the log file pages. It's probably because they don't want us to theorize on them. Or they are secret codes.
