It has been ~1 year since the last video, they recorded a video in late september which they released in November that was saying nobody had found it yet.

The fact that its been in the ground > 12 months and the fact that they recorded this video ~ a month and a half before it was released for viewing seems really strange to me.
How sure are we that this is a legit treasure hunt and not just a huge joke?
I know its been asked before, but I feel like every passing month makes it less likely that the chest actually exists

First time poster, follower since the beginning....
I dug for gold, I looked like an idiot.
I have questions if anyone can answer them. Does anyone know what the markers might be? How about the treasure being near a webcam? Has anyone searched Pelham Bay Park?
Thanks in advance!

Unite
For Gold and Glory
Alright...I originally stumbled on this hunt and the board, and wanted to consolidate information (see my failed and only authored thread...womp-womp-womp...) but after analysis, and research, I think I've come to a conclusion. I think that not everyone's "varying and wildly differing theories" are as varied and wildly differing as we all think they are at heart.
I'm a New Yorker - I do my job, have my day-to-day, but I want a bit of excitement...I love a spotlight. I'm calling out, to all major/active/willing/optimistic hunters from this board in the 5-Borough area to rally. Let's all, as a group, set aside a block of time, a place public place with Wi-Fi, and an itinerary for solving this hunt. Organize our notes, bring our maps, hedge the bets.
I don't mind a four or five way share of $10,000...let's make some news, I say, get our names in the paper for a day. Say that outside our normal lives, we did something more than a normal person would. We're New Yorkers - and I say Unite!

Did you send me a message on FB? Not sure if I got it? I don't usually befriend people I don't already know. I tell the same thing to the wee one in the house.
We'll I believe that Port of Cortland is not what most people on here think it is. So, if I tell you that would be a big dead give away as to the area where the chest is. There sure are 5 docks though but, you could only see 4 from where you are. All I could say is I'm not on the same path as people on here that is for sure.
Yes, I am having trouble narrowing things down. Sure I could tell you 250 ghost feet, I could tell you what I believe the chest is under but, still I am having trouble narrowing those darn paths. Forget Mulligan's he is the hardest. That is all I could say. Hopefully something will jog my thinky thoughts.

Right...and who are you to criticize?

No! I did it in another park to in front of the police and the parkies.. They usually don't bother women. You have to be respectful and dig a nice neat plug and put everything back where it was. Don't dig sloppy holes and leave it wide open like some people did doing the treasure hunt in Brooklyn. One of the rules of people who metal detect is to leave things the land pretty much the way it was even on the beach.
In this puzzle you have to know the correct spot as I have learned. NYC has a lot and I mean a lot of garbage in the ground. There is a 400 year history here and people did not have sanitation departments with landfills to pick up their garbage so everything was just buried on their property.

I still think its in flushing meadows park. Too many clues lead to it. I wonder if anybody asked and got permission to dig there? I will still be searching there everyday! I have 2 places I would like to dig so far. But I was already so sure I knew where it was but it wasnt there at all. If its not buried in the dirt I do think it would have been found by now. I think I know the general location in the park, but not the exact spot. I figure you would just know the spot if you stumble upon it, but thats not the case. Also, if you have to pay money to access the spot...thats kind of messed up. I think you might have to pay an entrance fee! Like I said, I am going to be there everyday for the next few days. I have an electric bike and have surveyed the park a few times already, working on covering every inch! If anybody wants to team up I am willing to split 50/50. Not interested in crews, just me and 1 other. Contracts will be involved also before I reveal what I know.
Oh, FAFA did you not check my post on FMP? I have a giant folder with everything about FMP. I have maps from both the 1939 and 1964 World's Fair. I overlapped the maps to correspond to the puzzle and to today's current park. I did so much research on both fairs I could give you a tour now. I checked the park several times. Dug up near the ship/pool/ice rink that is currently there. I dug up 250 feet from it in all sorts of directions. I dug up where the Polish cop was shot. I dug up where all the ships were in the 1939 and 1964 World's Fairs. I checked the area that was the Chunky Candy Factory. I checked everything. I do understand there is a tremendous amount of history that points to FMP, but it is not there. Keep in mind while you are digging up that you are going to run into so much garbage from both WFs.
The puppeteers idols even had shows here both Remo Bofano and Syd and Marty Kroft. Did you know Elektro was the first puppet? Anyway it is not there.

Im so lost right now but not giving up searching the park. I dont think its buried in the ground either. But buried in what then? If Tutty is the treasure, he is buried in the coins perhaps?
so you can confirm its not at flushing meadows?
