Not quite sure what you mean by the Facility 2 log files showed up but the 5 pages didn't. If you mean that you can see the title but not the pages then try going to the FB page and clicking through again. I had to login after I clicked on the link under the city names to make the log files appear under my Facility 2 heading. |
That is what I meant, and thanks for the tip, it worked

Multi-thread discussion here but... seems like it might be a good idea for the PMs to lock it down by asking for SNs. It's worth a shot at keeping anyone from trying to get a second icefly to eBay, for example... though I've known people in other communities to use family members who didn't know jack about it to get multiples of LE items. So it's not a guarantee, just a deterrent?
NOT saying that's the case, just that it turns up a scenario that could easily go down if this game goes on for so long.
If anyone jerky asks, I guess tell them "it's just for gum"? ;P

That's awesome, I wish my big sis was that cool, I bet he is super stoked.
I do still agree with punxtr, though...
edit:
I just read your post in the other thread, I think it's really cool that you got the family into it and you have something you all can do together. My family just gave me a bunch of blank stares LOL (even after seeing the icefly)

I just posted in the other thread... I'm the girl in both pictures. I live in Boston, but was visiting family in San Diego, and my brother needed someone to go with him for the drop. It's his victory and he'll be keeping the icefly.

Catherwood, I dunno why the video isn't working for you, it isn't a private channel.
I did not transcribe the morse myself, I linked to the videos in chat and a few people figured it out pretty quickly.

That link did not load a video for me. I also tried just http://www.youtube.com/user/nostarsonthars but it also says that channel is not available. (Did you transcribe the Morse code fully yourself? Does it just go to the main site again?)
oh, you answered that question in the other thread

Maybe someone could tell the PMs to request username sign in to prevent the same person from getting another Icefly...

Not necessarily. He could have excavated the icefly from a snowy location on the other side of the world from the facility.

I put in a suggestion for my hometown as well, as a major Canadian city it could be an international icefly drop without the ARG having to go too far away from their homebase of the USA. Odds are slim but I had to try!

Nice Job Phantom, very happy you were able to snag such an awesome display piece.
I have emailed the Fly keepers to please keep my home town in consideration for a new Icefly drop. I was sure to tell them we have many fun and exciting hiding places as well as a fun loving community. Also, we are no longer suffering the effects of a heat wave so that's gotta earn some brownie points right?

I was really surprised I got the Houston IceFly since I was parked 20 to 30 minutes away from the location. When I pulled up, the 2 reps seemed to know what I was there for. I did not get an envelope with directions to another site, the box was already on location.
I don't think they knew much about the ARG because I asked them a ton of questions that they couldn't answer. They even oohed and awed when I pulled out the canister.
So I asked them, "What, they just drop you off in 100 degree TX heat with a mysterious black box and tell you to wait for someone to give you the right password?" "Pretty much..." he said. Hope I didn't keep them waiting out there too long.
I posted these links in another thread, but it seemed appropriate to post them here too:

(Much better than the derpy ones they took there, and I, too, would have made myself more presentable if I knew my pic would be online )

Hi All. Paul here. I picked up the Miami drop after driving 45 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale area. I knew it was a gamble, but I just had to go for it.
About halfway there, I actually pulled off the highway and turned around because I was SURE that the icefly had already been claimed, and my luck with these things is always crap.
BUT
I checked the forums here and also checked Twitter, and the Miami drop hadn't been picked up yet... So I got my ass back on the highway and sped towards the location.
Parked and swiftly walked towards the fountain, looking for anyone in the distance who might be my contact. There he was, sporting a black t-shirt with the Mission Icefly logo on the front. He also had a large black box sitting nearby.
I walked up to him and said the password. He yelled "ALL RIIIIGHT DUDE!" and high-fived me. He let me open the box and take out the coveted prize. I swear I'm buying a lottery ticket this weekend.
Also, if I knew I was actually gonna get the drop, I would've cleaned myself up a little better. LOL
[edited for spelling] |
Congrats! I'm so happy for you!!!
